Straight swap (- the arms tap themselves onto the wiper spindle as you tighten them up) 2 arms with blades cost me £35.

Maybe we could do this mod for the C, Kev. We could use your VAG-Com, my laptop and my dads GPS and every time theres a problem the car dials in to VW to request a mechanic and some spare parts.... :lol: ....or maybe not! :roll:

It tells you the diference in the manual, one resets each journey i think or by holding the button in and the other is on going which you can reset by disconecting the battery -40, must be a prob with the temp sensor - in the front bumper i think

Its still worth taking it out and replacing it with the stronger one isn't it tho....

Get the wheels balanced first as its cheap and get them to look for any other things that could be related, out of shape tyre etc...

But... if it is a front one then whoever put it on would have used something to stick it - just depends what that something is!

Yeah, I heard anything later than a B plate needs side repeaters but you could relocate them to the bumper (US spec) or wing mirrors!

none but most dealers will give at least 10% for club members, and the CCGB should be eligible for the parts club scheme where some stuff is 50%, its because they can discount more one certain parts...

Yeah, I think you just need to go in person and try your luck, I now get max discount on everything and can order over the phone i buy and I don't actually buy that much, I just go in reguarly and get a few bits and also get stuff for freinds as i go past the dealer alot when i'm working. I just bought new front discs and pads for my mates Mk3 GTi and they came to less than £20 inc. :)

Nope, afraid not - the charger is seen as a seperate part, one unit as VW see it.

You need to take the pulley off to release the belt... 3 hex bolts i think make sure you get the right sized replacement belt (Gates 663mm by 9.5 only from VAG for a car without aircon) - GSF will try and sell you a bosch one thats 650 by 10 that will not fit despite having the original part number as a reference and the nearest match in the Gates catalog is 665mm by 10 (which i used as it was all i could get at the time!) Don't bother trying to drive without it unless your a bodybuilder, much harder than a car with no pas fitted as you are having to move the fluid around the pas rack...

Yeah, some MOT places will let them thru because if they fail them you might ask them to do the work!! Maybe easier to get a new axle fitted steve - maybe from a passat??? Think the bushes are about £10 each from VAG

If you can't find one on the net then it may be best just to get another key cut!
