  1. :D Hehe, You'll learn tho... You'll have to!
  2. Cool, I've had the light come on 4 or 5 times since i've had the car and it normally goes off after restarting, if it comes on again i wash the car and that sorts it - seems to happen when the car is dirty and the sensors are getting clogged.

    isv

I think so as there is a microswitch connected to the throttle cable that turns the ISV off when you hit the pedal

    handling???

If your rear brakes have siezed you just need new mk4 calipers from VW along with the aforementioned brake hoses... But, it could just be your handbrake cables need adjusting!
  5. Ahhh, Thats why the RAC don't buy VW vans...
  6. Every corrado I have driven seems to do this, I always thought it was a sticky caliper but it isn't - May be to do with the ABS system?
  7. Not sure, I know you don't have to have a rear wiper but if its there then they will check the blade for wear etc so not sure if they'll also check the washer :?
  8. The W6DPO's are about £10 each from VW, maybe a bit less from GSF or ECP, not sure about W5's They should last for 40k max, I doubt any plugs will last 60k and still be efficient, especially with forced induction.

:? You like the new ones then!
  10. The rack is non-serviceable but its worth checking for play in the trackrod ball joints and TRE's, check wishbone bushes and ball joints while you are there along with the CV joints, wheels bearings etc....
  11. Did that include the bushes? - GSF do them with or without the bushes fairly cheaply but not sure of the quality of the bushes.
  12. Sounds like seized pistons - when was the last fluid change?
  13. Best place for the Bentley is Amazon.ca, works out at around £54 delivered (no VAT etc payable on books)
  14. Yeah you should be able to, Stealth buy the rear ones in for there mk4 rear caliper conversions, because they are a different fitment so you should be able to get the original type too.
  15. You need the green stuff!
  16. I think James Shillaw was working on it and had got some of the letters done, just needed to fill in the gaps - not sure if he's had time to complete it?
  17. Sounds like a combination of a few probs... fuel leak, faulty ISV maybe a vacumn leak and possibly timing is out
  18. Maybe Darren can produce some at a more reasonable price!
  19. Yeah, thats what gets me... they design the cars so the gearbox and driver counterbalance the engine on an LHD car but they don't reverse this for RHD's, must just cost too much to produce seperate engines for RHD's, the people i know who have LHD golfs swear they handle better than any other Golf they have driven!
  20. As long as you get the matching mechs as well....
  21. You'd probably want to get the whole front end done while you were at it
  22. Jabba must be making a healthy profit on those then - 35quid plus a bit of rubber tube and a perspex heatsheild for £150!
  23. Cool, Jedi, I take it you have a P4 based machine then??
