  1. And the temps only playing up because you were driving it, REMEMBER, the Corrado is just for show - your not actually meant to drive it you know!
  2. Maybe an airlock introduced as the matrix was replaced that caused the rad to go...
  3. Always get new screws for the discs, the front pads push back and if using a clamp, spread the weight using the old pad to avoid damaging the piston seals... The rears are more tricky, you need to unclip the handbrake cables and you WILL need a tool to wind back the calipers otherwise it will be a very long hard job! - Halfords sell the tools and the converter plates depending on which type calipers you have, I remember Vince (Stealth Racing) saying he has seen 2 types on the C, one with an allen hole in the centre and the other which I have where there are two small holes on the outside of the piston, opposite to each other.
  4. Probably slave seals going, causing the clutch not to engage fully.
  5. Mines a braided line, not sure if they all came out the factory like that or not?
  6. Hmmmm.... I have been told you should bleed some fluid when changing the pads as it forces fluid from the piston back into the brake line but did not associate this only with abs cars?? I have always just changed them and pumped the pedal to repressurise the system (I don't have a brake bleed kit and have always got the fluid changed reguarly) Got me thinking now! - I can imagine why this is thinking about the way ABS works!
  7. Jim, you need to take out the whole unit to change the headlamps but not for the sidelights - they can be pulled out the unit but you will need some pliers to do it! - It will tell you in the manual if you have one but there fairly easy to locate, just have a look! Jedi - I thought all corrado's had the pull out type???
  8. Yep, its probably the same kit as a mk2 or 3
  9. When you say it can be watered down, what concentrate would you usually use?? You can PM me your details John, I'll probably give it a try as it sounds fairly good from what i've read!
  10. I think Halfords do a set of bushes...
  11. Also could be a bad earth, most likely on the Gbox
  12. Dealer only really, GPC can get them but after postage its better to just go to your local VAG and get club discount.
  13. What about 2 quarts + slick 50?
  14. http://www.redlineoil.co.uk
  15. Same as the other thread, master or slave cylinder leaking.
  16. Look for fluid on top of the gearbox, this will indicate a leak from the slave cylinder, they leak internally to start with.
  17. Its true, I've actually witnessed him walking up to the side of the car and putting a key into the door handle and turning it, fairly unbelievable i know but why would i make such a thing up??
  18. Try searching for and changing the file named symcjit.dll to symcjit.old (you may have to change the permissions or take ownership of the file to rename it)
  19. If you get a Halfords one, you get a free Porter manual at the moment
  20. Darren aka G-man on this forum - send him a Private Message
  21. Alan, nice to see you on here! - I remember seeing you that night, mentioned the word Corrado and Kev just appeared from outer nowhere! (thats about all I can remember from the whole evening tho! ) Like Kev says, Wolsey seem very good for parts (I get really good discounts now and can order over the phone depending on who I speak to), The servicing will be ok but you may be better off going to a specialist, especially if you need the charger doing as well - you will get more of a service for your money then!
  22. Very nice indeed - I Like!! Always nice to buy a car from an enthusiast as well as you know they've looked after it, looks very tidy
