Agree using cheap ones for testing but any GOOD electrician will tell you that fuses aren't the same - the quality differences can be significant, especially with automotive ones. Most fuses will need more than there amp rating to blow but some cheap fuses need over 2 times the rating to blow!
-
Yep - rip it out and hoover those leaves too Also black expansion tank cap!!!
-
I'm not sure i'd trust them tbh - you'll find they melt rather than blow sometimes - worth sticking with the original VW fuses, seem very reliable.
-
Trim parts don't go out of date as such so they may have been made in 95 and in storage since - I know what you mean though, I've had some dusty old boxes turn up before!
-
Yep - as above they should both be on main only but you get H4 dipped on switchover... you also get this is you pull the stalk to 'flash' while on mains.

Either 6 or 7mm depending if they've been changed before or not... If it's 7mm Halfords do a 'Brake' allen key. -

All Corrado's had PAS! -
Where was it Kev - they should have ordered the trims shouldn't they?? Rust is the usual cause of stress cracks but they should have dealt with that if they found any...

corrado16v18 - could we have an update please... It is now February and we still have people complaining they have not got these. Can you not send these last ones out recorded and post up the tracking numbers? -
Your local VW dealer - sunroof repair kit
-
Kev - are you not tempted by the Fabia then?? I honestly think this is one of the best deals the VW group have ever done... when you could get a MK4 Golf for less than £10k it was just a basic 1.4 model - this thing is £3k more and is fully loaded, the gearbox alone is a £2k option on most cars. Bargain!

Better than Toyo's - they smell of ditches and wet pants!
-
You need to look at the rod from the central locking actuator - it can come loose at either end but usually it's where it meets the boot lock - there is a plastic piece that wears, pennies from VW
-
Usually this happens due to the rubber perishing around the switches on the doors - these are less than a pound each from VW
-
Jesus - who fitted that mate??

It could do with fixing though - much easier for peeps with iPads to click on the larger button... I'm pestering Andi about this! -
I'm sure you could but I wouldn't want to go above 50mph without a proper shim / longer bolts etc etc...

Chrome's not keeping me logged in either Riley - looking into it now... -
That's rubbish - it's your car and there is something called the Freedom of Information act! That said VW changed from the old dialogue system recently and lost all the info of cars that are older than 2000 - rubbish!
-
What about a Fabia VRs - almost the same package for £12.8k - VAT free for orders until April
-
£15 from VW
