  1. Well here it is, the fourth VW and the second Corrado i have owned. 1995 Twilight Violet VR6 a credit to its former owners (Seayem aka Carl) and i intend to keep it that way. :salute: In true Corrado style i was £90 poorer before i even got home after a pitstop for a battery and fuel but i expected this so not to worry. Anyway, no mods planned except swapping the stereo for the new one in my other car, if ain't broke... Hopefully me and Jon will get to more shows now he doesn't have to drive all the time  Kate
  2. I picked up my VR yesterday.. don't know why i waited so long :D :D :D
  3. I'm very surprised at how good those monti's look.
  4. Not sure but he made a pedal version as well... http://www.benedictradcliffe.co.uk/
  5. Probably been posted before but i thought it was pretty good. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8533150@N04/3077752211/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/8533150@N0 ... otostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/8533150@N0 ... otostream/
  6. i think your axles aren't talking
  7. corrado_sunderland for Prime Minister!
  8. I bet it does and its sickeningly reliable.. unlike mine.
  9. I'd like a couple of those if anyone knows.
  10. Thanks Reggit, it all makes sense they way you put it. Unfortunately i still don't have the time to sort it but the good news is i have now found somewhere for it to live (off the road) so i can sort it at my leisure and the even better news is that it won't have to be broken YAY! Watch this space for a satin black-classy-rat-look-tarmac-crawling beast! Seriously. In the meantime i will be requiring another corrado, one that works. Kate
  11. Hi When you do, please take some pictures. Thanks. Will do.
  12. It does it in any type of weather/conditions. I'll change the fuse box and have a poke around the aforementioned places. Don't really know what i'm looking for but i imagine i'll be able to spot anything really obvious.
  13. Hi What experience does the 'we' have in car-electrics. Which part of the fusebox was roasting. You can touch the relays and let us know the number on the hottest relay. It was the one for the indicators (19 on the top row at the right) the whole thing was pretty warm though.
  14. I've got a new fusebox off shaung60 that came today but it'll probably be at the sorting office until saturday when i can go. I'll change that and have another poke about but i'm not hopeful. The tax runs out end of november and the MOT is due in december so you can see why i'm wondering about what to do. I would be replacing it with a VR though.
  15. Ok here are the problems: Sometimes it starts perfectly but sometimes it's really rough and need a touch of throttle to get it up to the normal idle speed. When driving, the engines starts to get juddery and the revs jump up and drop off to the point it cuts out (battery light comes on) but it carries on running? Weird that one. You can't drive it like this, yesterday it was so bad i had to stop in the middle of the road. It only used to do this when i had been driving for a while now it either does it or it doesn't. When it does do this there is also a massive explosion-type noise coming from the exhaust, really not good! The cat-bypass exhaust is pretty much goosed and sways around and i don't know whether this is contributing. I also have an intermittent indicator problem (they are either working or they aren't) but we have narrowed that down to the fusebox being internally knackered but wiggling the relay around sorts it. I noticed yesterday that the fusebox (cover is off) was roasting so maybe it could be affecting other relays/fuses which control the engine? The fact that the problems don't occur every time i drive it (left it about an hour yesterday and then it drove home as normal) makes me think its electric related as physical mechanical damage would be apparent every time surely? I really don't want to scrap it as i've replaced so much of it, heater matrix recently springs to mind. I think i might garage it somewhere if i can find one and have it as a project but in the meantime i need it working, more now than ever before because i'm really busy. Any help and ideas would be much appreciated. Kate
  16. Some weird problem, maybe electrical but i don't know. It has cost so much to diagnose and it is still happening.
  17. You also need to consider 'grin factor'
  18. I'm loving my CBR 125r even though i can probably run faster. I'm doing direct access next year some time and then i'll get a 'proper' bike.
