  1. I'm gonna do that, i've got a spare 10 minutes. Seriously, thats awesome!
  2. I am the missus.... and i'm the only one who drives my car. The rear visibility isn't a problem for me because i've got used to it and its kind of grooming me for Lamboughini ownership. The big doors are a problem though, especially when some idiot parks next to you as close as humanly possible.
  3. Mine froze on Wednesday, still frozen now or could be broke as the handle is pretty much facing the roof.
  4. Impact near Huddersfield, a bit out of the way but they're good
  5. Pot holes are the biggest headache for me, ever! Every day i report them to my local council on the internet and, to be fair, they usually get fixed. The problem is that most people have nice comfortable cars with spongey suspension so they don't notice them, people like us suffer. I have a mental note of every pot hole within 20 miles, i could probably drive about with my eyes closed and navigate using a kind of pot hole inverted morse code.
  6. I wish i hadn't started reading this, life is about to get very expensive isn't it?
  7. I was thinking about getting these t1-Rs before my MOT, definitely thinking about it now as MOT cowboy put 2 of the cheapest tyres known to man on my front wheels. I know my old ones were bald but at least i had some faith in the car, now i have none. Its like i can't trust it anymore.
  8. I'm so jealous! I want to drive a Calibra too!
  9. You're not kidding. Mine took ages to fit and admittedly they looked good at first but now there's alga/moss/greenstuff growing in the crystal bits in the corners. Going for all red next.
  10. Nearly 80k, had all the usual problems.... still got all the usual problems.
  11. Potholes really get on my nerves and are my biggest cause of road rage. I started complaining to the local council about them and to my surprise, they actually fixed a few of them.
  12. may have found my new wheels
  13. This kind of thing sucks. I've been after Kasabian tickets for a couple of weeks and have finally got them for Amsterdam!! Not ripping me off as much as UK egay cowboys.
  14. I've had mine about two and a half years and the novelty still hasn't worn off. I love that look you get off other people because you are clearly loving your car and they're not.

    Corrado mats

Seen them go for more on ebay, seen them go for less as well though.
  16. If you need a central locking pump, i got a spare
  17. This can be embarassing at the petrol station. You need to climb into the back, pull down the rear seat and peel off the carpet from behind where the petrol cap is. There's a white plastic thing in there soewhere that you push (or pull?) and it unlocks the flap. Might be a pain to find but when you've had to do it a few times its easy. This happened on mine so i had all the central locking disconnected because i was sick of something not locking or locking me out.
  18. Thanks for the replies. Got some injector cleaner and i'm going to change the fuel filter and see what happens. Been better since its not been as hot. Stay away sunshine, stay away!
  19. The third problem i've had with the car this week. It started on friday after i visited my parents, i left the car for half an hour, it had been running fine but wouldn't start. At first it turned over and fired up but died straight away but then wouldn't even do that. So in a huff, i phoned the RAC and they turned up 3 hours later (after going to my home address, not where i was broken down) Anyway, the RAC guy turns up and true to form, the car starts on the first attempt and runs perfectly, leaving me looking like a right idiot. We concluded that it may have just been a one off but today i was out shopping for about an hour and a half, went back to the car and it again wouldn't run. It would start up and i could keep it going by keeping my foot on the gas but wouldn't run on its own. I decided not to phone the RAC but to leave it alone for another hour or so because i'd left it yesterday and it sorted itself out. I went back over another hour later (8 flights of Arndale Car Park stairs later) and it started fine. It was also fine when i stopped for petrol. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it might be? I want to be able to point the garage in the right direction when i take it in because it'll probably be working fine. Its a 1993 2.0ltr 16v 9a engine Thanks, Kate
  20. I had a de-cat Powerflow fitted in september, asked for a 'subtle but menacing burble' and got it. Had no problems so far.
  21. A rabbit went through mine, i got a new one from VW for about 40 quid but i can't fit it properly because where it fits onto the bumper has broken as well. Hopefully yours hasn't.
  22. I just used the search and i think i might need new wheel bearings, brakes or something else. I just drove down the lane and had to do a left on full lock to get round the corner. The brakes were suddenly very noisy and as soon as i had straightened up, there was a horrible metal grinding noise like the sound of a wheel bearing on its way out. I thought this would only be apparent when turning but its constant, even when i let the handbrake off and roll back a couple of feet. Also, my brakes haven't exactly been on form recently but they were never that good anyway. Has anyone got any idea? I don't want to be at the mercy of the local greedy garage owners. Thanks, Kate
  23. My renewal from Flux was £571 so i got a quote from Brentacre which was £524 but the excess was £450. I phoned Flux back and they have lowered their price to £510 and there is no deposit to pay. Hope the cover note hurrys up, the tax is due at the end of the month.
