Looking good Sean, what diameter and where did you get the washer pipe from please? was something I was meant to do along with the canister tubing.

When I had polished aluminium dishes on my old rs's I just used to wipe the brake dust off after a decent journey or if I'd been out in the rain I'd dry them when I put the car away. I didn't have to polish them much really
-
My old, old set I believe! Keep them standard on the dishes in my opinion, they suit the Corrado much better like that.
-
Engine is back in, finally!! Sorry about the poor pictures, I only have my phone.
-
Going to look an awful lot different to this picture! This sums it up perfectly for me, I've just looked back at your first few posts and never thought it would end up like this. I was lucky that I started with a great base car that wasnt that bad. So if you look at the before and after pictures you have achieved far more then me. Very well done, the engine and gearbox is great.

Have you tried tps, a lot cheaper then vw and I'm going on Saturday.
-
Thanks guys, bought some castrol from opie
-
And one from the rear! Heat shield has been blasted and re-plated which looks quite nice, shame it cant really be seen.
-
Am I best to avoid this gear oil then?
-
Just got a price from TPS for the gear oil, its £5.76 per litre. Cheaper then the castrol stuff.
-
Glad you got it shifted on, did you get rid of the wheels? keep us informed on the sale of them if not, If I have some spare cash later on I might have them to go against the RS's

I need to fill my gearbox back up, is the Castrol Syntrans 75W-90 from Halfords the right stuff please? Also, how much do I need?
-
Started assembling various parts on the engine tonight ready for putting it back in on Thursday! Can't wait to get it back in the car again.

Looks lovely, worth waiting for. I do like a standard looking VR and perfect ride height for the speedlines. Wouldn't mind some measurements from the floor to top of wheel arches if you get time please? -
Does anybody have the torque settings for the front subframe bolts please? I've done a search but not found anything. Cheers
-
Wow Sean, Thats a massive improvement, the gearbox looks great. You really have turned this Corrado around and you'll take great pleasure in showing it with the bonnet open now.
-
The heat shield looks good, personally I would leave it as it is and not bother lacquering it.

Hopefully I'll be there but definately not in the Corrado. Be good to catch up with everyone -
Got the gearbox complete tonight after picking up the powder coated end cover. So this was before: And this is after a little cleaning, painting and plating:

Excellent stuff Dave, love the ramps for levelling the car out of the garage. They'd be great for the front for cleaning underneath. Definately more trophies for you this year.
-
Macdaddys by any chance? Its a nice car with loads of work done.
-
Do you have any idea in the pressure rating for the high pressure switch please? Is there a range for the temp one? Oooh er misses!!!
-
Can anyone tell me what these oil pressure / temperature senders are please? I want to replace the 2 on the left, the one with the large body I think will be cleaned up. I do have the gauges in the centre consul.

Didnt have recaros, I thought I had an interior shot but cant find it. I didnt like the surrounds. The shine on the rear quarter on the rear picture is amazing.
