Terraclean

I've had a wild and varied selection of cars over the past 50 years and used, or friends have used some weird an wacky cures and cleaners and performance enhancing potions (on the cars I hasten to add) I don't think any of them have had any real effect other than as Kev says as a placebo effect. The only thing I found to be remotely effective was a drip feed Redex system which, controlled from inside the car fed a miniscule amount od Redex into the engine. It "seemed" to stop build up on the back of valves and carbon build up on the pistons. More to maintain performance than improve it really. Assuming Terraclean really does clean all these deposits internally I can see it improving performance if it is used in a badly clogged up engine by removing restrictions to air and fuel flows. Otherwise you could just shout "Prawns", brings Floyd back to life.

G60 down pipe

Dust around the back of the engine and exhaust with talc then watch as someone starts it is one method. Another is to add some redex via a vacuum hose while the engine is running. Lots of white smoke will appear from any leaks. Not to mention the tailpipe.
5. I had never heard of this and discovered you can even get an app for it. http://www.shotgunrules.com/ Really feeling my age now.
6. I do the first gear selection thing as well, but I always select second first. Throwback to non synchro first gears. Just to complete my dinosaur status I still double declutch. I'll get my coffin now.

9. Got me thinking this and I really couldn't give a definitive list as I have got through so many. I used to buy cars from auction, run them for a while and then either sell on or scrap them and off to the auction again. Here's a kind of general list. Mini Morris Minor (Split windscreen) Another Mini Morris 1000 Another Mini Citroen Light 15. 2 year project, stolen after two months on the road Rover 2000 Mini Clubman Ford Anglia Estate Fiat 124 Another Mini Datsun Cherry Austin 1300 Vauxhall Viva Triumph Dolomite Austin Allegro Vauxhall Chevette Talbot Horizon Mini Metro Went to Canada Toyota Corolla Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (Barn find at Farm Closure sale bought for $200, partially restored and sold on return to Scotland for $10,000.) Volkswagen Rabbit Returned to Scotland VW Polo 1.3 CL Formel E VW Scirroco Scala VW Corrado 1.8 16V

11. Was it an officer at the desk who decided to "close the case" Go back and demand to see a senior officer and push for prosecution. Your car was taken without permission, actual damage caused and you were denied use of your vehicle and suffered distress. Getting the police re-involved will help no end in any private legal action.
12. Indicator pops out. It has a spring clip on the outside to hold it in place. Use a screwdriver as above between the fog and indicator levering toward the indicator to remove it. This will reveal one or possibly two screws that secure the fog light, remove them and the fog light is located by a ball and socket arrangement. To replace the indicator locate the inside edge first then push in the outside edge. It's been a while since I've had them out and memory is a bit vague, I might even be thinking of an entirely different car.

fuse box??

Yeah, that is the back. Your black plugs will be from sockets K, L, or M. Different number of pins so should be easily found. Same routine with the others. If the two plugs have the same number of pins the offset tab on the plug will help locate the socket..

15. That's the plan and the reason the plates don't change at the obvious time like the 1st January etc. All to do with motor shows and new car releases and such like crap to encourage a gullible public and help the manufacturers.
16. I got whacked a couple of years ago going into London to get some bits for the Corrado. Had to pay £100 emmisions charge for the Peugot camper van I was using. Was more expensive than the fuel cost from Scotland to London via Somerset. What made it worse was I knew nothing about the charge prior to going there and could have been hit with a much higher penalty if we hadn't noticed the signs and queried exactly what it was. The only saving grace was that we were outside, just, the congestion charge zone. Not in any hurry to go back.

Not wanting to sound like a supercilious twat but the switch has 3 positions. Permanently on, switched by door and permanently on. Have you tried all 3 positions?
18. A man received the following text from his neighbour: I am so sorry Bob. I've been riddled with guilt and I have to confess. I have been tapping your wife, day... and night when you're not around. In fact, more than you. I'm not getting any at home, but that's no excuse. I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest apology with my promise that it won't happen again. The man, anguished and betrayed, went into his bedroom, grabbed his gun, and without a word, shot his wife and killed her. A few moments later, a second text came in: Damn predictive txt. I meant "wifi", not "wife".
19. A dying granny tells her granddaughter, "I want to leave you my farm. That includes the villa, the tractor, and other equipment, the farmhouse and £22,398,750.78 in cash." The granddaughter, absolutely floored and about to become rich says, "Oh granny, you are SO generous! I didn't even know you had a farm. Where is it?" With her last breath, Granny whispered, "Facebook...
20. A couple had been happily married for years, the only friction in their marriage was thehusbands habit of farting loudly every morning when he awoke. The noise would wake his wife and the smell wouldmake her eyes water and make her gasp for air. Every morning she would pleadwith him to stop ripping them off because it was making her sick. He told herhe couldn't stop it and that it was perfectly natural. She told him to see adoctor, she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out. The yearswent by and he continued to rip them out. Then one Christmas day morning, asshe was preparing the turkey for dinner and he was upstairs sound asleep, shelooked at the innards, neck, gizzard, liver and all the spare parts, and amalicious thought came to her. She took the bowl and went upstairs where herhusband was sound asleep and, gently pulling the bed covers back, she pulledback the elastic waistband of his underpants and emptied the bowl of turkeyguts into his shorts. Sometime later she heard her husband waken with his usualtrumpeting which was followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound offrantic footsteps as he ran into the bath room. The wife could hardly controlherself as she rolled on the floor laughing, tears in her eyes! After years oftorture she reckoned she had got him back pretty good. About twenty minuteslater, her husband came downstairs in his blood stained underpants with a lookof horror on his face. She bit her lip as she asked him what was the matter. Hesaid, Honey you were right all these years you have warned me and I didn'tlisten to you. What do you mean? asked his wife. Well, you always told me thatone day I would end up farting my guts out, and today it finally happened, butby the grace of god, some Vaseline and two fingers. I think I got most of themback in...............
