Corrado Part Duex - 24V Aqua Blue - She's gone.

Fair enough mate, half pension helps and I seriously thought about it tbh. I also had a medical board to attend so went to that but they kept me in. Redundancy happened at the same time but my branch wasn't targeted, yet I contemplated voluntary as well. I then got selected for promotion which I'm on course for now, and I've only got 6 years left come the end of it so I'm a lifer now! -

Looks ace that mate, can't wait to get a set on. Are you time done in 18 months then, or just had enough? -

Very nice! I'm on the lookout for some wheels, and it was a toss up between these and LMs. I was actually gonna go for the LMs but I've been thinking again (yes it hurts) and I think I'm gonna go for some RX228s to free up a little extra cash for other bits and pieces that really need doing! Looks awsome though, when is it likely to be on the road Sean? I think I'm done for this year tbh, I've got a few things I really need to get on with so its off the road atm, and I may keep it that way until I've accrued enough of the exterior trim parts I need to replace when respaying over winter. What suspension you eyeing up mate? -

Stainless Steel OE look exhaust.. Anyone interested?
seanl82 replied to VR6Pete's topic in Group Buy Feelers
So is this just for the backbox? Not sure if they sell separately or just as a full system. If they offer the backbox on its own, I think it'll sell well. The majority of people now already have a SS exhaust system as originals have been rotting out for many years. If they offered the backbox separately I'd be very interested indeed. Dubpower are very reasonably priced - much better than the vast majority, and as long as quality and prices stay in line with their current price structures (no reason to believe otherwise), I think a separate backbox would be a very good seller. Edit; sorry was typing as you put the last post up, so its for the full system. Could you ask whether they'd be interested in offering the backbox on its own? -
I know mine offers somewhere in the region of 40% back up to 4 months into the policy, 30% up to 6 months, and 20% up to 8 months, but after that you loose all. That may have been the case with you Jim, and I know that doesn't help your situation Bill, I'm sure you realise they've got you by the bollox on this one mate. Its very unfortunate and tbh I'm not sure its one of the things I'd have checked out before without actually seeing it on my policy details.

Possible engine mods to improve my valvers performance?
seanl82 replied to A.passap's topic in Engine Bay
Wouldn't bother with drilling the airbox mate. It'll make a load of noise but do not much else. A cold air feed with a standard paper filter will give you the best results. ABF or KR cams will give you decent gains though, and exhaust mods will add a touch more. Thats about it tbh. -
I've been side by side off the lights with a mates EP3 Type-R until I decided I was going fast enough!, and did a Leon Cupra R off the lights up to about 60 when someone pulled out up ahead so had to slow down. That was actually on the way back from National Day and he was 4 up, but I had the missus in with me! :ignore::lol: and luggage in the boot.....

Aqvila, you can re-colour them for very little using a furniture clinic kit. Deebo, Worth a road trip, and would take 10 mins to switch them in for yours and a comfortable ride back! Sean, thats what credit cards are for mate!!!!

I use CG Jetseal 109 on my polished stuff, although tbh I've not tried alot else mate.

Great effort with the wheels, they've come up mint! I quite like the white centres, maybe get the tyres fitted then run em like that for a while and see what you think Ross.

But then how much would a top end Cadillac Escelade set you back? I know which one I'd rather have!

http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/scoop/vws-new-496bhp-30-litre-vr6-engine Wonder what this'll be like in a Corrado!

Yeah the intermediate pulley is smooth not ribbed. Where is it slipping off from? The toothed pulleys should have lips, and don't forget to remove the bolt from the tensioner. If the belt is correct, it'll be very slightly smaller than the old belt due to wear.

Just received my 288 calipers and carriers, and the guy I bought them off has chucked in the practically new set of TRW pads for them too. Anyone know if they are reasonable quality, or should I get a better set seeing as they're not particularly expensive anyway? Thanks all!

If you cant shift them, and end up thinking of binning them, let me know as if you can break one of the passenger seats down I'll have the bolsters to replace my drivers side ones for a few beer tokens! :thumbleft:

I'd love to do one, and had planned to in the near future after National day! What I'd like to do is a two car day. There are a couple of places that do Track and Offroad, which is what I'll do I think. I've always preferred Lamborghinis to anything else, but I'm not sure if I'd want to actually drive one and find myself disappointed! I'd hate to spoil that childhood dream.......... I think an offroad experience would add to this, and would be massive fun! Deffo worth considering!

Does anyone else feel like rebooting their life?

Congrats on your new job, and glad everything is working out for you! Regarding being a little bored, don't let it make you crave a busier working environment. Remember as you now have more time to yourself, this is the ideal opportunity to spend it with the wife and kids, or take up/concentrate a bit of time on a hobby. (Corrado!) Its what I did when I had surgery a few years back, and this is when I actually starting working on my own cars, and discovered my love for Corrados actually! Best of luck with the new job, and don't fall into the same trap as before. Try to switch off at home, and start making plans for family time in advance if possible.:smug: -
At least you didn't score 4 on the road, and still lose! Mind you, I suppose you could say Coventry were on the road too! Same story different season for us again!
