    HPI Checks?

    http://www.hpicheck.com/ ;)
  2. Doesn't sound too bad... I'll have to see who'se good for alarm fitting around here
  3. Can you take some piccies for the how-to site please? Your ones from the serpentine belt change were very useful (I'm gonna put them up this week, promise!)
  4. That's all I use mine for.... remote locking and full closure  So am I right in thinking Haywire Engineering recommend the Clifford option then? :) Installed yourself with gold wires covered in 3 layers of insulation too, no doubt?
  5. Superb choice :D The VR is a cracking engine, if nothing else it just sounds fantastic! As jimsG60 says, there's not a lot to be gained from an induction kit as far as power goes (unless you go for a top of the range Turn 2 one) as the induction kits all suck in hot air from the engine bay. They do however give it a bit more growl :) The standard VAG disks are actually pretty good when mated up with some Pagid FR pads too, it's also worth looking to see if your rear brake calipers have ceased. If they have, then fixing them will get you another 10% or so braking power. On the bushes front, keep the standard VAG rear axle bushes as these are the only ones to keep the passive rear wheel steering you get on the Corrado. The rest I can't comment on, but it depends on how much you like your fillings ;) Keep up the good work and enjoy the C!
  6. Just a warning, the Konigsport (sp?) kit is supposed to be the really good one, the Highsport kit I don't know about...
  7. I'd be interested in this too because I currently only have an immobiliser on mine. It does the job, but a little more security would be nice. If nothing else, the remote locking and full closure would be very 8)
  8. pink!! 8) Seriously tho, black...
  9. Ahh nice one. That makes a lot more sense than harnesses not being legal at all :)
  10. It's balls, a proper race harness is far safer than a silly windy 3 point job, but there's something that says you have to have a retractable, locking seat belt to pass your MOT. Don't see many rally drivers with 3 point harnesses do you?
  11. Can you fit a 10 changed where the first aid kit goes? Or is it too fat?
  12. I don't know if you can get just the sockets, but I would imagine so. Either way, your car won't pass it's MOT without a retractable locking seatbelt. Even if you have a harness too. That seat is designed to take a harness - you'll need to attach it to the rear seat belt post. It still doesn't solve your socket problem though...
  13. Yeah it is a DIY job, I'm not sure exactly what is entailed, but from what I can remember it just unlocks and you lock the new one in place instead. There are probably a couple of bolts involved too, but nothing major.
  14. ETKA is the electronic VAG parts system
  15. I got that in the car too! Not bad... More punky than I'd imagined, but its really grown on me. "Girls" has such a phat and groovy bassline, I love it :) Hmm might be worth an investment. The only Prodigy album I've got is Experience  I just bought a head unit and some decent components for the front, so at least I'll have something to listen to in the C now. I need another £250 for a Creative Nomad tho...:D
  16. Apparently they're very unlikely to ever wear out, but they're only a few quid. You might as well replace them if you're going to be in there anyway.
  17. Yup, that's what I got in the kit from GSF that was used in the how-to guide and yes, it does just contain the front top mount. The rear top mounts just have bearings in though, so they're less likely to be worn out.
  18. Black L-reg with a black front roundel on the road going into Fulborn today at 1:30.... any takers?
  19. Yeah, but what caused that in the first place?
  20. Those wheels look good, but ya might want to jack it up a bit ;) :D
  21. Yes you can, but it's worth noting that the temp on the MFA is the oil temp and the dial is coolant temp. Running temp on a VR is around 90-110 ish, but I've no idea for a valver. The temp gauge not working is probably just a dead sensor. They tend to only be £5ish from the stealer.
  22. Yeah, the pickup doesn't float my boat, but the convertibles look pretty cool. I've yet to see a pic that shows one with the top up though... I bet it looks awful.
  23. Yeah I thought I'd stick what the old Cresswell said to you in as that's a damn good price for a complete engine! But is it a 2.8 or a 2.9 lump?
