Thought about a Rocco? Great fun to drive, superb fuel economy ( I get over 40 to the gallon out of mine or to put it another way nearly 500 miles to a tank) You can get an excellent one for £500 and people do just give them away. No cat or any of the other modern crud that can go wrong and the boot is like a tardis! Bits are pretty cheap for them - especially when compared to a C and the know common faults list is pretty short. No one wants to nick them because they look dated and it will outrun most things on the road.

Good point and well presented I think Gav
-
Yeah but with only a poxy 22 gallon tank on the Veryon Jezza is going to have to go some!
-
Nice looking mods, very tidy

Nick has a Big Bore TB Gav, just never gets chance to drive the car with it on.. Plus a full miltek and no cat with a BMC can on the other end makes for few extra ponies!

VAG / Scorpion 5000 Alarm Keyfob Forgotten - Reset Procedure
Yandards replied to Tekara's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
From the few times I have driven Chris' VR I seem to recall the his scorpian fob is the 2nd one down on the right. I think his valver uses the same fob as yours but the alarm on that is rogered as far as I know - but the car is still long term dead so there is no point changing an alarm on it yet! -
Cool toy! Be nice to see a Rado on there though

Bet your glad you have not put the dash back together now mate! What is it with you and C's anyway? Good luck, if it all goes tits you know who to call.. (Its not Ghostbusters) -
Not a lot of use now but I e-mailed them a while back about the dimensions for this - I am sure they said it would fit a Corrado but I have deleted the email.

Its alright for you late VR owners as they made it go up at a sensible speed, mine goes up around 48mph (far too early) I am of course refering to spoilers before Dinkus gets excited
-
Cool been looking for something like this for a while. I figure a raise speed of around 57mph should give me a drop of around 25-30mph. Be nice to have the spoiler going up as I zip past people instead of already being deployed. (Sad I know!)

You could try a TB from a digifant golf. If you look at the TB on your 16v you will see that it is a 2 piece affair, the later digifant golf ones are a single piece casting are have a better knife edge between the two butterfly spindles. Not sure it would make a lot of difference and I don't know if anyone has tried it.

Jeez, Thats just sh1t. :( Upside to it is that at least you will get an almost fully resprayed car. -
Thanks Henny, not really spent a lot of time looking at the inside of bonnets apart from Jay's!
-
Just had a quick look at my er, mates etka  The only under bonnet insulation available is the later type so your local garage monkey can't work ETKA. Whats the fit difference like between the early and later foam? Is it close or just plain rubbish?

I guess that as much as it makes an engine looks tidy it also hides all the easily identifiable components from the consumer. In doing so they furthur remove the population's ability to maintain their own vehicles. Hence the colour coded dipstick and all the other bits to make it easy for morons to identify whats under the bonnet that the manufacturers want them to check. After all at internal combustion engine has changed very little since its inception, you only need to look at all the electronic crap that 'Improves your driving experience' that they push now instead of advances in power plant design. Furthur evidence can be seen of this dumbing down by flicking through a recently written Haynes 'pack 'o lies' Whilst it is good to assume no technical knowledge they could at least put some in there!
-
and all the other plastic crap they insist on covering engines in these days I thought the rental companies had to give you a big old briefing on any car they rent out these days?
-
Can't let this one just drift by the wayside... No damage done so I wasn't bothered (and still arn't for the record) and it wasn't like he dumped the clutch or that would have made a mess.

Cool some sort of seat appreciation thread! Here is the another type of reccaro trim only fitted to early cars: And it an old duvet cover in the window I use as a dust cover before anyone makes any silly comments *Cough* Dinkus *Cough*

Buying standard will cost more than Koni TA's and H&R's and it is a very subtle drop as some cars topmounts are worn by about as much!

Local pickup only though - hope he brings some mates if someone who buys the bulb thinks they are getting lights! -
Nice one - once in a lifetime experience especially for most of us mere mortals.
-
Its all a conn anyway. Its not road tax really should be renamed to: 'Funding chav dosers through their existance with only a poxy little bit spent on our sh1t roads tax' Is mine the only Post Office that smells like it needs a wash or is it a problem throughout the entire network?
