Found using magnets to hold them in place while glue dries is excellent. Been using magnetic parts trays. -
I got heko ones. Love them. Work great. Fitted them for function and not to be trendy as I hear they are considered cool in some circles.

Yeah, mine went in with no mods, the screws were a little awkward to get back in (i think the holes on expansion tank and a few mm out of line, so one bolt goes in a bit wonky, but tightened up ok.

You have to buy a new plug, cut the old one off and extend the wires a little bit, its quite simple really.

Its so much easier to get the cap off, that's about the only reason i changed mine, was sick of getting the original cap off

I thought it was a bit naff, but doesn't leak and also makes fitting the mk4 expansion tank easier. So prefer it now.

I like Roose hoses, will be buying more as my samcos break down and split everywhere

Water does seem to splash up and hit the underside of bonnet, i notice it quite a lot as i cleaned all mine and have a look every so often and can see where water has been

Don't look like schimmel to me. I always seem to notice a gold/brown band on them (like a paint on them) Also have SP stamped on them and just look a bit different to look at.

Worth noting there are two types of cable, (different ends, one is a ball, one is a hook) I got buggered up by getting the wrong one.

Is there a front and rear sensor on the VR6, just asking as i recall noticing two that looked the same on mine.

I have had a gruvenparts one fitted to mine for about 5yrs and 70,000miles. Nothing wrong with them. Swapped it from one engine to another too. Although i have never bothered to use the drain plug on it, i usually just disconnect a hose on the rad or thermostat.

I wet sanded mine and polished them and they come out like new. Although I've not bothered with them for the last 20,000miles. Should put them back on. Might be interested in some clear ones.
