Good work mate, got a part number for the new yellow switch? Mine is miles out on the dash compared to the vcds! -
Looks amazing, not surprised it won a trophy at all. Stunning! Are you running arch liners? Looks so low!

Is that completely standard Suspension mate? Couldn't do me a favour and measure your arch to ground distances, I'm interested in seeing how much mine has been lowered. Looking really good, and something slightly nicer to grip onto when the power kicks in! -
Starting issues.....Stuttering and smoke please help :( VR6
mic_VR replied to Nick 17's topic in Engine Bay
Blue smoke is never good, that's burning oil. I'd hate to start suggesting things like piston rings, valve guides, headgasket etc but I'd suggest getting it looked at sooner rather than later. What's your PCV valve like? And how blue is the smoke? Does it burn blue under load? -
Nothing wrong with that at all! I'd have another in an instant if I had space to keep one... should've never sold my '67. Loving some of these pics, think I'm going to start sounding out some friends for a trip next year. Little'un would love it as well!

Good work mate, glad it's sorted. -
Do you want me to pick you up a set whilst I'm down there? My fees for collection and transportation are extremely reasonable! Think the 150 piece set will do me so unless anyone does have a code available for anymore discount? I guess £95 it is.
-
You've essentially got the same car! Cheers mate, I'll give AP a shout and see what they've got available. The kits are still doing the rounds at various re-sellers but are no longer on AP's own website. Mmm, white wheels.... very Essex! :camp:

So what's the final plan for people coming on Saturday? Do we need to be on site by a specific time etc to camp? -
Not yet. But I did take some arch to floor measurements and the car is definitely lower on the driver side front. Both passenger side gaps are 60cm arch to floor, but driver side rear is 59cm and front is 58cm. So plan is to bring them all either up or down to 59cm as this seems a good compromise. Don't really want to paint the calipers as they're original at the moment and in really good condition
-
Thread revival! Ok so they're not still that cheap but currently £95 for the 150 piece set. Just wondering if anyone has any further discount codes or anything. Got so annoyed with my mish-mash of tools over the weekend that I think I might treat myself.

So managed to sneak out to a mini meet this evening. My mate in his mk4 and I were the only water-cooled guys there but the 'rado got a good reception and a few guys came and chatted about him. One guy even proclaimed 'that's what a corrado should look like' Anyway, I know what you guys are like so some rubbish phone pics for you.

App loading issues when using iPhone/iPad
mic_VR replied to mic_VR's topic in Site Comments and Questions
Nah I don't think so mate. I'm not the mos tech savvy but it's definitely not me pressing something as I can just be sat reading a page not touching the screen and it'll do it. At first I thought my phone had a virus, but according to pretty much every google search I did the iphone can't pick up viruses.... Apparently. -
Hey guys, anyone else getting issues on the iPad or iPhone when using the forum and it keeps trying to open the App Store to download some bloody games? I only use my iPad or iPhone at home and the forum is the only site that does it. And it's really annoying! Is something running in the background with some app advertising or something?
-
Yeah I'd be happy to travel, no different to heading over the Stealth rather than a local garage I guess. I wonder what the process is.

£500 car race for charity - Finished car (PICS) ready to race!

Awesome! -
Anyone had there suspension set up professionally? I've got height and damping adjustment but I'm not completely sure which settings are best or what to adjust. Might be worth taking it into one of these motorsport companies to see what they'd recommend. A few guys have had custom GAZ sets made up haven't they?

Amen to that!
