I'd love a dodge charger....
-
Yeah, but it's no Citroen XM though is it?!
-
Hmmm, we're having a classic car day at work on Friday and I've been telling colleagues that mine is a future classic..... but opinion appears divided. Time to invest in something else..... like a Citroen XM http://classics.honestjohn.co.uk/top-10s/top-10-future-classics-for-gbp10000/?image=5

Hmmm.. These aren't going to be to everyone's taste but I kind of like them. Are they 18s though?
-
Seriously impressed with the work you guys are putting in with these old cars. Makes me proud to be part of the forum, but a big embarrassed by my moaning about the few niggles in mine!

I'm away this weekend but once I'm home I'll post up a screen shot. I'm getting live data from the lambda's but when I look at the trim I get 0% no matter what state the car is in. The ecu had the deletes (rear lambda etc) done by viezu but it's also running a revo map..... I believe. Is there a way I can tell in vcds whether this is true? Sean - not a bad idea, I'll give him a call. James - also not a bad idea. I've seen the kind of results possible with dta (yours and Kev's cars) and this would give me scope if I ever pull my finger out and go down the inline air compressor route.

Haha, not a problem mate. I donate monthly, would it be easier if I did a yearly lump? Whichever is best for the forum/admin time.

Any chance of getting my donator status restored? I'd like to read so e of these PM's I seem to be missing. Ta!
-
Hmm I think I need to read into this further as I'm getting a sai error and lambda errors, and I'm getting no adaptive data for long term trim... Probably not helping my running issues.

Looking awesome mate, can't wait to see it in the flesh again

Ron's Blackberry VR6 - A11 VRX - Getting her back on the road

I wasn't going to comment on this but it's these kind of things I think about all the time. I've got the 24v conversion and I love it, a load of low down punch compared to the VR due to the variable intake and VVT but I really fancy something with 350+bhp so I'm thinking of adding a turbo. Problem is I'm not sure it's FWD suitable and I'm not sure if really I should accept the fact I need to go 4WD or RWD or at least get a car designed to take the power. But that means moving on from the Corrado and I know people say 'Well you can get another' but I'm not sure there are that many really good ones changing hands at the moment. People are keeping the top class ones and give it a few years and it'll be all project cars with the rest owned by people that aren't interested in selling.... and mine is pretty much mint at the moment bar the non-standard engine so would I get another in a similar state?? So do I accept that it's going to cost me and go for the turbo anyway? Or stick with the 205bhp I have at the moment? Decisions Decisions. -
Yeah sorry mate, I'm not sure what's going on but because I've lost my donator status at the moment I'm massively over the usual 500 message limit, and I'll need to go through and sort them. In the meantime I'll get that bumper wrapped/weighed and a price delivered to Poole. Sorry for the confusion Mic

Cheers Jim, you're a gent
-
Cheers guys, I think those pretty much confirm what I was thinking Much appreciated!

Haha, Whoops! I seem to have lost my donator status (even though my monthly donation went yesterday....) but I'll have a clear out and PM you my mobile

Afternoon all I'm hoping someone who has done the 24v or R32 conversion can help me with quite a specific picture. It needs to be looking at the back of the engine, with the cast manifolds attached and ideally out of the car. Also one from a side on view would be helpful. And even more useful would be one of each type of motor would be even more useful again! I know it's a long shot but it's got to be worth the question before I start taking mine to pieces just to see how it all looks. Cheers

Great thread, just had a read through and great to see another one saved (although given the damage they should be ashamed of themselves trying to write it off), and nice to see a reasonable response from the insurer to your letter. Top result.
-
Go on then Bill..... I'll take them! Edit: haha, crossed posts mate! Dox, we can sort something later if you like mate.

Love these wheels, can't wait to see what they look like.
-
That interior looks great.
-
Sean(s) thanks for the info and links, very much appreciated. If you could mate that'd be awesome, PM me what you want for it. Cheers
-
Gutted for you mate, but if it's the right thing for now then don't feel too bad. Plus the M3 isn't exactly a rubbish car to have to put up with! And if Nigel's tempts you in I'm sure we'll all be here egging you on as usual.
-
Quick one for my fellow 24v'ers. Does anyone know what type of sealant, or a part number, I need for a 24v sump? I've developed quite the oil leak and I think it just needs resealing, and I want to sort it ASAP. Cheers

Looking really good. Love that first shot, may steal it for desktop collect on the works PC
