What useless pile of Crap has he bought now........
swiftkid replied to rado-steve's topic in Members Gallery
agreed that some products are crap but there are some products that are just the exact same thing without vw's very own scene tax added. I would love to buy everything from VW but they are just total rip off merchants and you can clearly see it when you ask for a price for parts from ford. I bet more people order parts for a corrado then they do a galaxy so why the hike in price for corrado's? -

Not everyone has bags of money though, i have spent hundreds, even thousands on my car and parts from vw are totally overpriced and could be bought cheaper elsewhere for pretty much the same product so why not? I buy as much genuine as i can but sometimes things are just too expensive to buy genuine when the likes of febi are pretty much exactly the same -
Jebus, you scared me then!!! 0bhp... i was thinking oh no, whats blown up. I gotta say that is pretty impressive you can't get a result because the rollers couldn't handle the power hehe, or at least thats what you should tell people

Started her up for the first time running properly :D Runs sweet as a nut, now for MOT!!!
-
one mount far left corner at rear, one mount far right hand corner (gearbox) and last is central front attached to engine and gearbox

Fantastic episode i thought, must say off the start line the veyron got annihilated!!! there was no doubt which was going to win but i was quite suprised how much the mclaren just left the veyron off the start line. Must say one of the best sights i have ever seen, a hot, flat, empty road with super/hyper cars... stunning.

Not on all dear boy only the later "Full Closure" ones... all will do the window (except those with keep-fit windows obviously!) Yea, knew that, i own a later full closure one now so i get the sunroof as well :norty:
-
haha, corrado's are absolutely full of cool things you wouldn't think of seeing as they are such an old car. Its suprising how many people don't know that if you keep your key turned in the lock with the windows and sunroof open it closes them all!
-
are they not heated or something daft? or have you put some halfords neon washers in

MK5 r32s are harder to do the wiring because they are more complicated, the mk4's and Audi's are alot easier. Places like south west in car technology (vagdoc), stealth, psi and storm developments can all help you out with the conversion but don't expect it to be cheap. The wiring is the hardest part, everything else is fairly straight forward. To be honest if your seriously thinking about 24v you need a good thorough read through the full thread as all your questions have been answered numerous times. I have got an Audi 3.2 engine for sale if your serious about it, this engine doesn't need an FPR and also comes with 15-20bhp more as standard than the mk4 r32.
-
your a bad man! my 3.2 in my garage is looking more and more appealing and i've just spent £900 rebuilding my VR :(
-
1. Corrado VR6 (perhaps R32 4wd for something a bit special) 2. MK2 escort with cosworth engine 3. Metro 6r4 4. Ford RS200 5. Koenigsegg CCX or CCR, i forget which one is the daddy of them 6. Lancia Delta Integrale 7. Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in some bright garish colour :D 8. Nissan Skyline R33 (with R34 front end) looks absolutely amazing!!! 9. Renault Espace F1, no idea why i, was running out of ideas and just thought of it now but it would be soo much fun beating people in a people carrier 10. A monster truck

I have exactly the same problem, i had some a539's and rang to order some new ones and they said these are the replacement, exactly the same. I live round country roads without rolled arches which resulted in needing a new tyre within 30 minutes and it also pulled from arch inside out and cracked all the paint. feeling better now?
-
 no way, absolutely gutted for you!!! must be heartbreaking!
-
depends what your planning on doing with it
-
Like i said when i spoke to you, i hate you for having such nice motors! But seriously, that is soo nice, absolutely love the evo's. How does it compare to your r32 corrado? obviously handling is a no brainer but the rest of the car. Bet you will have norris design's number on speed dial soon hehe

Don't hold me to this but i don't actually think they exist, its just people tinting them red.
-
I spent 20 minutes chatting to a guy at a pub staring directly at my the back end of my car saying how nice my scirocco was. I corrected him about 10 times but he still didn't tag on
-
I didn't like the wide arch-ness at first but its growing on me, looks tidy.

Im not saying the lambda is red herring because i've owned my VR for about 6 months now and im still learning but it sounds EXACTLY like what mine is currently doing. Mine is (i hope) just a knackered ECU, for some reasons its consantly firing on one injector, the exhaust looks like its pulsing and causing white smoke to pulse out the exhaust. If you have a bit of time and are mechanically minded take the inlet off then take a look at the inlet that is connected to the head, see if one is particularly clean then put the key in the ignition position and see if any are firing. you should be able to see down the lobe
-
Sounds very much like an injector stuck open, when you accelerate it staggars because its getting too much fuel then once you get to higher up the revs its getting near the usual amount of fuel so its runs better but because its constantly injecting your getting crap mpg. does it feel like its running on 5 on tickover?
-
Is it struggling accelerating? any excessive white smoke? Im asking because i've just had/am having major problems with mine, used £25 worth of fuel in about 10 miles lol. It was chucking fuel out like it was going out of fashion. have a good sniff in the engine bay see if you can smell petrol, it may be an injector stuck open. or in my case it was the ecu but thats a bit more expensive to just try out.
-
im a little scared about being the one to post after such a, ahem... interesting photo but a huge thanks to kipVR and corradovr6-turbo for swift delivery and first class parts! it is most appreciated!
-
its the auxillary water pump and as far as i know its supposed to make that noise. its to cool the rear bank as it runs hotter than the front. mine does it, so if yours is bust, so is mine!
