  1. Yeah that's probably the best idea! :) Cheers.
  2. It's a 7 year old thread! Do you have a car that needs looking at? Will delete that thread as whatever post it originally linked to is long since gone.
  3. Agree with Kev - think they may work on the Corrado. The car does generally suit chunky 5 spoke wheels but that said they may look too 'modern' - there's only one way to find out. Be a pioneer and get them ordered ;)
  4. That flange is available from VW Heritage / VW Classic Parts in Germany.. and as I say, that O-ring comes fitted to it "out of the box" as it were. Any possibility of cancelling the Greece order and just going to Heritage?!
  5. Um.... pretty sure when you order the coolant seal housing, it comes with the seal?
  6. Had to get myself down, and get the Corrado re-insured and taxed :) Looking forward to it!
  7. This is on a 16v (lower) inlet manifold. In the manifold there are brass injector seats that screw into the manifold, which the injectors are then inserted into.
  8. If they're the bronze / copper coloured things I'm pretty sure they actually just unscrew from the manifold :) You'll need a large sized bit to fit into it then should be able to undo them?
  9. Its not technically difficult... Just a fart as the screw holding it in is ridiculously inaccessible!
  10. Not had any this year but I tend to just go for lemon and sugar. Might look into getting a bit more adventurous though.. perhaps banana and nutella would be tasty :)
  11. I'm really giving it some thought.. it's a bargain price and my suspension is screwed and needs overhauling.. hmmmm...
  12. They're the kind of car I'd love some day. Are the stories of wallet crushing service / repair bills true or are they largely pretty good?
  13. Might be your fuel pump relay? That's a favourite for causing starting problems..
  14. Ah must admit I didn't read your post thoroughly. But the part requiring you to wiggle the key in the ignition switch is definitely the switch! As for it turning over but not starting.. that will be something else! :)
  15. I did wonder about that generation RS4 - think that's a good shout :)
  16. No idea offhand but the one that Chuggs has found looks right to me :) It's not a major chore to swap provided you have the right tools. You ideally need the strongest, but longest / thinnest screwdriver you can find to reach the little screw that holds it in. But please do a search for directions - it's been discussed a gajillion times :)
  17. I think the problem you're gonna have is if you want to spend that kind of money, you're either needing to branch into something a bit more exotic, or something old. And I guess it depends on whether you want the hassle and cost of running either :( Like I can't imagine an Audi RS2 has anywhere left to go in terms of depreciation and what a classic.. but not sure I'd want to run one of those as an every day family car. Stuff like the R32 - if you buy one at 15k, that still has a long way to go in terms of depreciation and anything big and German at that sort of price again will continue to plummet. If you were feeling brave you could look out for a good E39 M5? :) Maserati Quattroporte? ;)
  18. Wonderful to see another one gone to someone who's keen to give the car a lot of TLC. Welcome to the forum and great work :)
  19. That must be a forum car - anyone notice the cupholder replacement for the ash tray in the rear?
  20. Things I thought I'd never see #23 - Corrado Forum reasonably positive about a heavily modified Corrado ;)
  21. Really like the rear end and the width of it but the front end needs some work. An amazing project all the same though I have to say!
  22. That should be fine. Though I'd just go to my local TPS / VW dealer and get Quantum / Synta Silver personally! :)
  23. That I didn't know! Guess as I never owned an early Corrado it never even occurred to me :)
