They will think you are up to something at the post office. Watch out for the unmarked car with two blokes in it.

Hard to say without viewing about worth. But the photos show a not so good looking passenger wing. This would indicate it’s not been in a garage for years so underneath could be as bad in certain stonechip unprotected areas. You don’t mention it starts and runs like a dream so you have to presume it doesn’t. Sell and/or swap the seats. Sell the car min £1200 unless ya going to keep n fix it up.

To be honest the only thing there that looks like what I’ve been researching and seen on my car is the bit that attaches to the calliper, so that’s good that looks like it fits. It looks like it a particular manufacturers take on the whole cable shenanigans. you’ll have to put up how you get on

Good to see you moving forward and gaining Corrado enthusiasm. What work were you undertaking on the car prior to you guys falling out. Did the sunroof work, did it have leather or recaro interior and did the engine have anything unstandard bolted on, these things add desirability and value. Least desirable is a grey cloth interior in poor condition, broken sunroof and a rattling tin can standard engine set up.

I’ve been looking at this too and there seems to be a difference as both ends too. My original has a thin cylindrical bit on the calliper end but it seems some have a ball type end. The threaded bit that attaches to the hand brake looks like it comes in two variants too. I was just thinking of ringing the the dealer up with my reg and getting the part number then going from there.

And you can get a nice new throttle body for the AAA/Obd2 if you need one.
-
Pretty sure you can, maybe a phone call to stealth racing to confirm. However you should be able to pick a AAA head easier and cheaper. It may also be running with the obd2 wiring, inlet manifold and throttle body.

I had a convertible M3 with a removable hard top back in the day, it cost an absolute fortune to run and insure. As mentioned the vanos unit needed replacing. But it was a thrill with its vvt and 8k Rev limit, alot happier in my turbo Corrado though, I don’t miss it. -
We have a nuclear reactor as well that goes bing just before she gets food out of it. Me and the dogs are scared of that though it also makes wuring noises and lights up, I think this alters her biorhythms or something though as she’s always a bit prickly when it’s on and shortly afterwards. I’ve heard some wives can pull a cake or similar out of the black thing (oven) although I’ve never seen this happen.

It went for less than thought

I like how you’ve marked the bolts to indicate they are tight and if they’ve moved. Nice.

This gives you an idea but doesn’t show every screw
-
I nearly always forget the screw under the grab handle.

^^^^all of this ^^^^

I’d say silicone grease/lube out of the tube if you have some, if not general purpose grease will do.

Your assumptions are correct and the door card needs to come off. It not too hard to do though just a pain if you’ve not done it before.
-
Don’t let it get to you mate, like you said could be worse at least no damage to the car and you hate the neighbour not the wife. 😂 Winner. Move on
-
Lovely jubbly. You just can’t beat being happy with your new paint job as letting that kind of money go smarts a bit. 6 years I bet it’s more like 6 weeks now you can see a finish. It’s all happening.

This is why I sold my other Corrado a couple of years ago, looking after 2 is nearly impossible and one gets neglected.

Roose actually make a specific set of water hoses for the 2.9 VR6 Corrado, they fit no problem and I’ve Had no real problems with them once fitted. I’ve done 10k mile. Just type it in “roose vr6 corrado” into search on EBay. I got mine directly off of roose on eBay.

Definitely look better than the standard speedlines, very nice 👍

I have a diesel golf gearbox mount fitted, research says it’s a bit stronger. Also don’t forget the 4 bushes in the front engine mount bracket/support as old ones get a bit squishy and allow the engine to move on those too.

Any further with this, will you need bigger injectors?
-
That my friend is to get the HT lead off the plug and not many cars still have them.
