Top mounts worn - serivce life on these is around 60k If you notice a difference after an oil change then there is somethign wrong - either oil they used is too heavy or you're not changing it reguarly enough
-
Service life is 60k but yes, VAGCOM it first.

Much that I hate public transport and paying for taxis I still reckon it's far cheaper to do this for a week or so every year than to buy snow tyres, plus your not risking damage to the corrado and getting it covered in salt etc - not had to so far but just cleaned mine and tempted to bus to work this week, especially with all the Xmas party's etc

Moved to Engine Bay... I'd go back to the garage first dude, I assume they took the airbox off the fit the loom - maybe they have disturbed something or not connected back properly.
-
Yes, if you have the emails please copy and paste them into a PM and sent it to the 'Global Moderators' address - we'll take action if required. I can't believe people are that bothered tbh at chasing this up - it was posted on about every car forum going and also MSE / Hotdeals - they must have got inundated with requests, just be patient!

Side to side imbalance would not fail an MOT though believe it or not (as long as the calipers are working to a specific value) This will be an imbalance front to back and as you say, the problem will be at the rear and most likely the compensator.

Well, 6 weeks after the original transaction and after various phone calls and emails I finally got my £5 back... Obviously wasn't worth the hassle but it annoyed me. Absolutely useless company to deal with and I can see why some people don't use eBay http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/autoperformanceonline/ Avoid Autoperformanceonline like the plague!

This forum is for transactional disputes really mate. I don't think anyone has not received their parts from Mr Higgins, so technically he isn't a bad seller. An expensive seller, yes, but not a bad one :D I bought a front grill off this guy and 2 months later my Goldfish died - how do you explain that one Kev?
-
Yeah - they are the wrong drop links - look like MK3 Golf if they are not offset
-
I'm sure you'll draw blood on the forth... :)
-
Yeah - been there, easiest way to do it is to 'massage' them a bit to get them warm and a bit more plyable... Try fitting Poly ones though - almost impossible without a vice - I nearly stuck a screwdriver through me hand!
-
Yep, rad support with the 2 M10 bolts, the the cross member with 2 M8's
-
12 Gallon tank too but the clue is in the rev counter - they're from a 16V
-
M12 x 1.5 for all 4 Cylinder cars - just watch the seat, all original VW alloys / bolts use a radius seat

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Supercharged replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
I reckon that picture could be a good candidate for next years CCGB xmas card Jim!! xx -
^ That's assuming it's full ABF and not running K Jet??
-
Any fault codes? The control unit is the engine ECU itself, check the ECU relay and the throttle switch
-
I don't actually think that's a bad thing within reason - £500 to me is a lot of money but it's a night out for some people, really annoys me when you see people like footballers get these stupidly small fines when the court costs were probably higher.
-
Glad to hear it Eric, which one of your 3 Volkswagens are you currently using as a daily?

The quality if some looms is awful and in the case of some of the eBay ones i've seen, dangerous. Taking the loom off will probably solve it but first is it using the proper plugs for the lights? If not I would look at these first and the connections - something isn't right causing a high resistance and build up of heat on that side. Look at connectors first then maybe swap relays over or, for now, remove the loom and check it with a metre

Ah, I think the one youmweremon about is the electric window one - 20 amp on top of fuse box
-
Fuse 21 - 15 amp
-
That was the original record breaking corrado mate!
