Exactly what I thought!

SK99 = Customer Order / Special Colour All the Campaigns were like this as it was a non standard production colour.

That's normal mate when it's on Sorn - just wait till next week....
-
Very strange - that looks very much like Dark Burgundy Pearl = LC3U Maybe a miss printed sticker perhaps - does it say the same in the service book? Maybe check with VW and see what they list it as on Dialogue.

Rad Weld won't do a VR6 engine any good because of the small waterways... it's designed to keep old heaps running, not 150Mph performance cars. Using it to try and fix a leaking heater matrix is utter lunacy - if the matrix actually blows due to a hot spot then the car could completely fill with steam in seconds and potentially burn the passenger too.

davidwort's 16v - looking a bit shinier

Unbelievable - garages should be shot for using silicon for the sake of a 50p O ring or at worst £5 for a new bit of plastic! -
Hi, All Corrado's and G60 engined Golfs got a hydraulic clutch setup so I'm guessing it's a conversion..? The cable setup should be fine although not feel as nice as hydro so I think there must be another issue like a worn clutch or engine mounts. I assume the gearbox is an 02A? Converting to hyro is posible but lots of work, you need a pedal box, new resevior, cylinders and the pipe work and then you need to drill a hole in the bulkhead and also fit a plate to strengthen it (this is a must or you will get too much flex - we found this when doing an ABF conversion on a mates Driver)

Hmm - unless they didn't being poverty spec?? I know ETKA list stuff for cars without but I was fairly sure all UK cars would be, especially late ones. Does it have a pump?

Jim's Corrado - ciao to the Fiat! Hello to.. (P64)

PAS pump from VW is £128.50 exchange mate - 6K0422154X -
All UK Corrado's should have mate.

Awful noise from rear calipers when braking when reversing..
Supercharged replied to Jim's topic in Drivetrain
It's the same old problem that plaugued MK2 Golfs - those calipers tend to only last around 5 - 8 years when driven in all weather conditions... it's really a consumable part and this is why VW offer them on the exchange program. -
Hi John - no it's a straight swap... Did you sort the electric window fault?
-
Hardly much cheaper though for something that you have to cut to shape yourself and won't ever look OEM?

That's just a seized handbrake mech on MK2/3 Calipers - new ones are the only real fix for this tbh -
Yeah steam cleaner is also good at blowing the vents out...
-
It really isn't worth it - will be slow and MPG will be awful... For what you can hire a car for these days....
-
Probably more to do with the old one being fitted the wrong way round  Pollen filter - bloody motor factors!

Are rear arches different on early / late models?
Supercharged replied to RichG60's topic in Exterior
Yeah have a closer look at the lip on the early car Graham, you'll see what I mean - it's very apparent on anything before 1990.... -

Supercharged replied to RichG60's topic in Exterior
They're compatibe but they changed them at least twice during production - have a look at the lip on an early car and compare to a late, very different! -
The 6NO is the second replacement of the original... only buy a new VW one as the GSF ones only last 1-2 years. They tend to just break up inside - what colour is yours? if it's not black plastic then change it.

g60 leads, dizzy cap & rotor arm from where?
Supercharged replied to vagingit.co.uk's topic in Engine Bay
Deffo VW - only parts that seem to last on a G60 -
Nope - VR beam is completly sifferent due to the plus suspension - different bushes and brake bias setup. Even the 4 Cyl beams are different with different roll bars etc. That ARB - it really depends how it bolts on, I know Eibach ones are different because they use the bottom strut nut as a mounting point.
-
New tanks for 4 cyl Corrado's from VW are only £12+vat and slightly cheaper via TPS - I'd just stick to the Corrado part now

If it's since the snow have you checked the ABS ecu for water damage??? maybe a badly fitted windscreen...
