Yeah I need to do something with mine, a decision to finish or sell as is ... I don't know where all my time goes these days... well mainly on house renovations unfortunately... I've got a £3+K engine sat waiting to go in a newly painted engine bay, powder-coated sub-frame and recon gearbox, 312 brakes all new, BBS wheels, Koni shocks, bushes, bearings everything is new!... its purely time I dont have :(

Last weekend - Haddenham, saw the Blue VR from close to the Rising Sun pub... not that I frequent the pub ;) and also another Corrado on the same weekend on road to Haddenham from Aylesbury... I was in the Black Scirroco R looking surprised to see two Corrados in one day! :D

Do you insure newer vehicles or just classics? I'm looking to re-insure my Scirocco R very soon and I'm not impressed with my current providers endless list hidden costs every time I pick the phone up to them. -
Almost 100% sure it was Glyco OEM as I remember going through all this when I built my bottom end - mine has Glyco bearings and bolts, all from Germany. ;)

Shame the info and threads couldn't of been merged here as a sub-forum even if they were made read-only - they did a similar thing when XBMC for the Original Xbox was discontinued and became Kodi.

Also restricting the fall of the hammer that I pointed out in my sunroof adventure ;) - its the reason the sunroof slider snaps, eliminate that and the sunroof shouldn't fail.

call me mad.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIUMPH-TR8/273901691282?hash=item3fc5d02192:g:n8cAAOSw0ohdD5Ve But I was always a big fan of the Grinnal V8 cars. -
Yes I seem to remember stainless on the engine is a 'no no' from my motor trade days - I seem to remember it was something to do with the way they handle vibration as well?

Message Chris - "Lilfuzzer" on here, always helpful if he hasn't got one he will probably know the whereabouts of one.

cant wait to one day finish mine... all those goodies are sat in this... cams, gas flowed head, MLS, high compression wiseco pistons, over-bored, ported manifolds all matched, shrick manifold and new everything... all I need is the most precious thing.... time! :(

This! I've had a few MK2's - put 1.9 and 2.0 blocks in them.. heads, valve, cams etc they absolutely fly - my favourite was the 1900, a squarer engine, loved reving.. all setup brake and suspension wise - absolutely no problem hanging with MK3 VR's ;)

So is that a MK5 Golf fan setup? -
Think if I had the engine at that stage I'd be tempted to do a set of big end shells at least ;)

Might head to Stanford - got the kids so any further isn't really possible. Seem odd that CCGB have chosen Donnington Historic Festival to show off their wares over a VW show... as much as I like a car show that looks a bit too E-Type Jag and MG for me.
