Regarding the stereo being plugged in and funky stuff happening. I bet you have a blue and white wire getting power. Remove this wire from the plug, car side, I bet all is well after.
-
Obd2 your wiring and stick with plan A. My two pence worth.

Por 15 seems to last better than powder or plastic coating but a lot of prep and messing about. same as Jon, tried all sorts over the years. I’ve touched up with por 15 as well when the powder coating gets chipped and starts rusting with sissies. The thing with powder coating or its variations is that once it’s chipped and oxidation starts it spreads underneath and flakes the stuff off in no time if unchecked. My latest thing is a very good powder coater, again as Jon says some are better than others and any chips or issues rub down with 600 grit and hammerite smooth out of the rattle can. A lot of longevity issues are to do with prep and effort, there is no super fast fix, it’s trying to get a balance with time and cost and like spraying body panels you can get some idiots wanting top dollar for rubbish

Potent, I know where you are coming from, I drive a Mercedes auto van, very nice. The Corrado is a different world and not because it’s not a van. I think the van is better than the wife’s new beetle and the Corrado is better than both although over 20 year older than both. I can’t eait for weekends to have a drive.

Money sent Jon Cheers

It’s interesting that some people would spend a max of £50 a corner on tyres and be disappointed that when driven hard the car acts a bit scitty. Wtf, a sports car no matter how old needs grip if driven on the edge, crap suspension and tyres will lead to massive dissatisfaction with performance, fact!

Piffle. I’ve run Et30 8x17 et30. Thanks Need hight as catches wing lips now and again. Min offset on 8” is et35 better with 7.5” with 37-38 offset no rub on lips so can go lower. People who haven’t tried different stuff and offsets shouldn’t have an opinion as they have no experience to base an opinion on. No offence Fend, not directed at you but I’ve come across a few threads that send you in the wrong direction, which is what me make the wrong choice regarding et it in the first wheel choice I made.

Interesting that they didn’t give you free toyos which I’ve never drove on due to others’ opinions and write ups.

^^^^^^^ what tyres are you recommending. Continental contacts is what I had last on 15”, don’t know if they still do them but they were very good.
-
It’s for you really isn’t it Chris, be honest. ;)
-
Lol. On another side note. I’ve found you some of them white plastic windscreen scuttle bracket/holder things, but I don’t think you are in a rush for them got 5 or 6 for next time I see you.
-
Have you set a date or have one in mind of when this car will have a MOT Cressa. Lmao

Very nice are they 16”

You may have more luck on Facebook. My wife put my old one on there for me and it was sold in a week.

If your screen doesn’t leak and isn’t cracked don’t change it till u have to. Complete t38t and cost loads and no fitter can 100% say no problem after, if he does take him up on his offer.
-
I tried to save them on a screen I was taking out, no chance, not for me anyway.
-
They are usually destroyed while removing the screen and the screen has to come out to swap them as they get bonded in with the screen
-
Haha they are pish. It’ll make a big difference swapping them out. More effect than putting an England football team against the Dutch

I think opinion is, it’s pointless fitting speakers in the dash for any improvement on sound. People have fitted better tweeters to the dash and said it’s better. It’s criptic science keyo, lots of options and opinions but your ears and what they hear are what counts. I fitted an active sub in the boot as well for a bit more base in that car. you’d only get a 2 or 3 inch speaker in the dash my ears would say can’t tell yours might say different. I spent more having it professionally done on my present car than the one I sold last year and was slightly disappointed it wasn’t as good as my £500 install but someone else might say this one is better all though I doubt it and I’ve got the big door pod things on this one so bigger speakers. Think this alpine head unit isn’t as good as the pioneer as well. Decisions, decisions

http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91973-Talk-to-me-about-speakers The thread and time when done matey. I took my stock tweeters out and joined the wires together, seemed more Rms? The Kappas were diffinatley a good choice.
-
Pretty sure Keyo you have it. Your search skills are starting to amaze me.

I fitted some alpine to my previous Corrado, much better than stock, with no chopping. I cut the plugs off to wire up but apparently you can get adaptors somebody mentioned and posted an eBay link after I’d fitted them
