Gear oil - redline mt90 from Opie Oils. Search the forum for discount code. Disks and pads - ecp or cp4l and get pagid stuff. Good stuff and not expensive. Rear bearings - don't scrimp. Get the best available (most expensive generally) from the above mentioned suppliers.

Front or rear Matt? I have one I think, but can't remember which one. Let me know the part number of the one you need. If it's the one I have, I'll post it up this week with the bracket if I don't need it mate.

Not Leamington Spa then seeing as it's only down the road from Stealth! Lol

Trouble is Jim, the spray adhesive will soak through the fabric and leave dark hard bits if you don't give it enough time to tack off. It's hard to carry out local repairs without getting it on the fabric straight out of the tin. Try to section the fabric off with some card or something whilst laying the adhesive and you should be ok mate.

Shame on you Michael! It's nice to use them though. Wayne, mats and logo are Nothelle. A tuning company that did a lot with the Corrado back in the day.

Read his post again David........

Thats a pain in the arris Wayne. My radiator is a hella one. Best of whats left from what I hear, so probably worth investing in one of those. My rad elbow (flange) fitted straight on without any bother, and all mountings and holes for mounting the the fans etc were perfectly placed.

Ok, measured it all up today. All measurements approximate, but I tried to be as accurate as possible. Key is the above pic. Drivers side mat: A - 100mm B - 148mm C - 130mm Passenger side mat: A - 135mm B - 148mm C - 138mm Measurements were taken from the left to closest point on the C, and right to closest point on the O. The dimensions for the letters are (WxH): C are 26mm x 10mm O is 30mm x 10mm R are 12mm widening to 20mm x 10mm A is 30mm x 10mm, with the tail 4mm in from the end D is 20mm widening to 30mm x 10mm rising to 14mm Total length of the script is 200mm, and the total slant from the top of the leading edge of the C to the bottom leading edge is 5mm. Can't find my calculator to work out the angle though sorry! Think its somewhere in the region of 25 degrees I'd imagine. Hope this helps! :thumbleft:

You're all wrong, Petty Officer. :smug:

Glad to hear the pump was ok. Here was mine.

Better than £170 odd the set on ebay went for earlier this week!
-
Mines finally going on the week after next, can't wait!
-
Me too. marker study through Adrian Flux, £198 but without key cover and recovery, which I have elsewhere anyway.

I used APC diluted in a squeezy bottle Rog. Be very cautious with how much you spray on though. I then scrubbed very lightly with an upholstery brush (shoe polish brush is exactly the same) after dunking it in a bucket of water, and flicking off excess water. Finally gently wipe it over with a clean microfibre to get the suds and moisture off.

Very nice spec one here mate. You may have seen it already. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-VR6-/261789568325?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf3dfcd45

Go out there with a spray bottle of water. Spray it around the leads and coil whilst its running, and you'll be able to see if anything is seriously amiss there as it'll be visibly arching. Sounds like a possible problem.

No pollen filter as such, just a plastic gauze type affair inder the foliage cover that stops large bits entering into the fan. Definitely worth whipping it out to check there is nothing untoward in there.
-
Yes you can. Takes a bit longer as a few more Base coats need to be applied, but easy to do. :thumbleft:

Do you have a wanted ad up? People could link you in if they find anything that may be of interest. What are you looking for, and what's your budget?

Good way to introduce yourself to a forum whilst trying to sell stuff. Top work that man!

Welcome Jon! Get some pics up mate, what are the details of the car, and where in the country are you?

Big old engine (warning, may contain trains)

Throbber.......... -
No, cables are specific to engine type due to length.

You can change the thread title by clicking on the Go Advanced tab next to the reply button mate.

Throttle cables are obsolete and I don't think there is anyone making them aftermarket unfortunately. Not sure about the PCV valve to be honest. Worth getting the part numbers of parts you need and phoning your local VW dealer though.
