Tigerseal is great stuff, but if you want/need to take them off in the future, be prepared for it to be taking the paint with it!

I thought all tyres were directional? Its to direct water out when moving forward. If you look at the tread pattern on the T1R its a kind of V shape. If they were on the wrong way round then when you were moving forward, it would draw the water inward.

The BMC being carbon keeps the air cooler when under bonnet temps are high. That much gain from any filter is a myth tbh. The BMC creates an incredible noise, and the inlet side of the filter is far bigger and less restrictive than a standard airbox. Put a cold air feed onto the BMC and your on to a winner in all departments.

There are some fantastic examples on there tbh. Some prices are quite wild, but some dont seem too far over normal trade prices if they are in decent nick.

My passenger window rattles from the top when it's fully up. If I crack it down very slightly (a couple of mm) so it's still under the seal, it stops rattling. I've seen guide clips in the past that hold the glass still when windows are up but can't seem to find them. anybody have any ideas?

What are the the width of the wheels and offset? Doesn't really matter how big the lip if if you have the correct sizing mate.

Yep, mine does exactly that too. I'd start by looking at the oil sender then. Usually the first thing to check and its cheap and easy to replace.

As Tony said you'll need to get it done to get through MOT as its a structural area. Its very common on all cars of this vintage tbh, again as Tony said its through people jacking the car up around here. Shouldn't cost you too much to get it done properly, although if your confident with a MIG its not particularly difficult to sort yourself.

They don't have a shelf life, but chemical parts can separate after time. A good shake should see them ok again if as mentioned, they haven't turned to powder.

Did you do the welding yourself Martin? If not, where too? I asked Daren (Harrier) if he could recommend anyone with regard to bodywork, and he said the guy he uses was a bit hit and miss. Do you know anyone that you'd recommend without hesitation?

Ha ha, it was indeed! Thought that was you behind me in the VRS, but couldn't see properly! It takes me five minutes to drive into work, eight minutes to cycle, and 25 to walk. No brainer really.
