  1. I have to agree. Provided the coolant system is in good order, they shouldn't be needed. If it's getting too hot there may well be a problem elsewhere.
  2. Mine seen to still be there..... I did notice a new set of terms a few days ago but didn't click on it, so this may be it. Have any of you installed any updates from the site recently?
  3. Hasan, I've got one on the Pug. I ran the cable behind the dash and up the passenger side A pillar to the top of the screen on that side. Barely notice it now and doesn't affect vision
  4. I'll take a set of exhaust heat shields if not too pitted?, and the tailgate damper posted please mate. Cheers!
  5. Sorry, here are 2,3 and 4 Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
  6. Here they are. Gave em a quick clean today. 1st wheel has new tyre as mentioned. In decent condition overall. 2nd has a nankang tyre but is flat so may have a slow puncture, though I've not tried inflating it and they've been stored for a couple of years. It's a very old tyre though so I'd recommend replacing regardless. Wheel in decent condition again as shown. 3rd is wearing an Avon tyre. Tons of tread but again it's v old so would recommend replacing. Last has another new budget tyre, and as can be seen does have a bit of pitting from previous corrosion under the paint and a little starting to come through also. All have centre caps though the VW badge is a stick on and have a touch of corrosion on them where the plastic film had been left on during storage. I'd like £120 plus postage which is probably around £40 for the set. I'm open to slight negotiation or alternatively I'm looking for a set of VGC speedlines with tyres preferably + money your way. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Sean Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
  7. I have a set. I'll get you some pics on Friday if that's ok. Been refurbished in the past and still in good condition. No kerbing on any of em, although you can see where a bit of corrosion has been under the paint. 2 have brand new never seen the road budget (Runway iirc) tyres, 2 have old tyres with tons of tread, though I'd recommend replacing due to age.
  8. I was hoping he'd break the windscreen so I could get a replacement through the insurance, but no such luck! Lol
  9. All my windows came out for paint. It was all done without any breakages by a pro and all rubbers were perfect so it can be done if the fitter knows what they're doinf
  10. I haven't seen a tfsi in a Corrado yet, but fair enough if it's been done, I stand corrected. It's probably far more economical to buy a good mk4 or cupra R (depending on what lump/turbo you want). You'll have every part you need from the same car, and you can sell on what you don't and probably make more back, so a free conversion and money in the bank! I know a few that have managed to do just that!
  11. The 1.8t has been done a lot and there is tons of info on it. Have a look at the definitive guide in the engine bay section for more info. Not sure if the tfsi has been done in this country at least, so info may be quite sparse and a hard undertaking for a first time engine swap
  12. Congrats on your purchase, welcome to the forum! :thumbleft:
  13. Oh right. I've heard nothing but good reports other than this of their stuff. I'm running a drive shaft and CVs of theirs and so far been pretty good, although not much more mileage done than you admittedly. Glad you got a replacement out of them though.
  14. Toad AI606 is pretty well thought of mate. Quite cheap now and a good reliable system. Quite a few on here have them fitted and I've not seen any reported problems
  15. Fraser, I sometimes get the coolant dash warning since fitting the new expansion tank (been on a while now actually). I just re-read your first post and you mentioned you'd fitted a new one too. I know there was a batch that were like this as a few have reported the same just before the final production run before they were discontinued. Thanks for the positive comments on my paint! In fairness, its not a great colour match to the original. More like a metallic now than a pearl I think. There are quite a few different shades of the same colour for some reason. I know others have encountered it with other colours, and lucky for some, body shops have consulted them on it. Unfortunately, mine didn't........
  16. Hope it's gone to an enthusiastic owner and makes another appearance on here and on the circuit.

    Screen wash tubes

Yep, I got mine and replaced the lot with the same inner and outer diameter (cant remember the dimensions now) from Halfords. Less than £2 with a trade card, not a lot more without one!
  18. I still have this issue. It's not bad, so 2 or 3 cranks when cold, probably 7 or 8 when warm, although it's fine for maybe 15 minutes after switching off, then there is about a 30 minute window where other happens. I've replaced the crank and temp sensor, had injectors ultrasonically cleaned, and the only other suggestions have been fpr and fitting a non return valve on the return line at the pump end. Thoughts are that fuel pressure could be down at that point.
  19. Yeah it's the rear front Wishbone bush. I'm not sure if the R32/TT wishbones fit, but I have heard of people seam welding the standard ones so that's another option
  20. I love this car. Not sure on the Nothelles tbh. I saw the ones on Goldies car and they looked superb, but I'm not sure it works so well with the colour......... Just my opinion mate. The LMs are my favourite wheel on a Corrado tbf, but I understand you want to put you mark on the car. :thumbleft:
