  1. It joins right in the middle at the bottom. There should be a small metal piece that slots in and connects them together, but it's usually rotted out. I used a thin piece of aluminium to stop it happening again.
  2. More likely track rod ends. Get the car in the air and have a good look at each of them. You may need a pry bar to see if there's any excessive movement, but they're cheap and easy to replace if you need to.
  3. Shift mech arrived yesterday and all appears well. Thanks mate, much appreciated! :thumbleft:
  4. Do you not have the stock heatshield there? I know some didn't come with it fitted, so may be worth asking around the breaking threads for one if you don't have it mate. Edit; just noticed the G60 bit! Can you use the VR6 stock heatshield? May be worth investigating for that OE look.
  5. Great tyre choice, but have you considered 195/50/15 instead? If you're changing all 4, it offers a considerable saving as not many manufacturers make 205/50/15 anymore, and as such they're quite expensive. I believe the majority now run the slightly narrower tyre no no discernible difference in grip level even when "pushing on".
  6. Chris, Do you have any pics of the seatbelts? More specifically, I'm after a set that have the white labels intact and not freyed.
  7. Yep, 84 confirmed will be in attendance (provided they don't drop out at the last minute), so should be a cracking day with a real mixed bag of cars. Really looking forward to it.

  9. I thought Kips was sub 50k? Either way, if you don't realise the standard and value of a multiple concourse winner, then there's not much hope really!
  10. I think inters is aimed more toward the "scene" sort of crowd, so very few Corrados are in that sort of well, scene. The CCGB isn't really aimed at that area of the market as such tbh.
  11. It's not obvious in how to do it, and you have to give "valid reason", but it's just a menu so easy to get around unfortunately. Still a tidy sum though!
  12. That's a shame Jamie, although a great car so someone will get a cracker! Taken to the Porker then!?
  13. High bidder bid 6 times, and has now retracted his bids I'd imagine.
  14. It's punishing you for leaving it sitting so long! Not sure if a LHD one will fit, and I'd imagine the ports will be on the wrong side so you'd have to re-make the lines. Probably worth sending your original away for refurbishment as they can easily be rebuilt. As for the air ride, your on your own there I'm afraid!
  15. Look at grey sets too. It'll expand your options, and because they're less sought after they're generally much cheaper. A good leather dye kit is less than £100 and provided it's not ripped, torn or cracked too deep, you can have them looking amazing with not a huge amount of effort.
  16. Fair enough mate. I can't think of anything else it could be to be honest. The engine is obviously in perfect shape from top to bottom, so maybe have a look around the rear engine mount or Throttle body area to see if there is anything rattling. I know you sometimes hear things that aren't really there when it's on your mind, but you shouldn't be hearing it at speed.
  17. I think noise should decrease if it's manifold related Jim, as the metal expands and affectively fills the Crack. Get a single ply of bog roll or tissue, and from stone cold so you don't burn yourself, run it around the manifold and gasket. Any cracks should noticeably blow the tissue.
  18. Got 3 today whilst driving up to Bristol for the weekend - incidentally it was a horrible drive with the hot weather, stuck in traffic on the M4 for an hour, no A/C, and my arse and back stuck to the seat! But I digress, got a good thumb up from a guy in a Scooby STI, another from a guy in a Renault Master or some such, and a third from a guy in a Merc SLK. Noticed plenty of admiring glances too which is always nice. Most positive response I've had during a single drive which shows they seem to be on people's radar too.
  19. I swapped the upper bolsters and was really simple. Its all one piece, and aside from removing the headrest guides it just pops straight off iirc.
  20. Doubt Rog Chatfield will be coming now Phil. He sold his Corrado earlier on this year.
  21. Well he's obviously a "bright" guy for disabling the camera (and giving a excellent shot of his boat race in the process), so fingers crossed with the right distribution of the pic, it shouldn't be too long before he's held account for.
  22. Cheers Rob, still a way to go though mate. I'm getting bits from month to month so spreading the cost which helps! I'll be back down your way in 5 weeks, so hopefully be able to sort another regional meet before too long mate. :thumbleft:
