any pics?

True. I still check in every few hours to see if there are any interesting updates etc. Get Kevhaywire back on here again!

Another year and i'm looking at this one again.. Thinking of another setup - what are peoples experiences of sound stages of the following: 5.25 door speakers plus slimline 8" subwoofer on the back of the back seat (eg underseat sub with integrated amp) 6 door speakers amped and no sub in the boot. Just really to create a sensible sound stage, not car shaking bass

Is it worth me posting the ad here for laughs?

Saw what looked to be a nice yaris last week, 5 door t sport, just as i was looking for, for my son. Description said 'you wont find better' and to be fair it looked very nice in the pics. Took some tools, a mirror and rags just to ensure everything was pukka. Well, within 30 seconds i thought i was looking at the wrong car. Didnt even need to take my tools out to check anything. Hopeless is an understatement. Engine bay was terrible, bumpers weren't lining up, rust in rear wheel arches with a dodgy patch up repair, faded and cracked paint, cabin was not clean, and then some black/blue smoke as he drove off. I could list loads of issues but it would just be tedious reading. I just find it a shame when sellers are less than honest with descriptions..

Might help to put return springs on the calipers if they don't go back to the stop position

If you lift each side and spin the wheel by hand you might be able to identify the source.

Old thread, would be good to where these cars are now. There was also coxylaads 24v 4wd with the golf dash or something along those lines but whether it got completed was another story

Ive got one or two spare check valves. Send me your address and i'll pop one in the post to you

Look well made. How much are these likely to be?

Just wondering how people have routed their HT leads with a schrick. Mine sit under the manifold on each side but very close to the engine block. So they're not insulated from the heat from the engine. Any other solutions in use? Pics would be great. thanks Hasan

thats oil temps you're talking about is it? 90 at motorway speeds is not bad tbh, in winter it will likely be lower. I had what i thought was a leak from the sump gasket. Turned out to the be the oil filter cap. In the meantime i had changed the oil filter housing seal (the '8' shaped one) and used a new sump gasket with some light gasket sealant. I think the lip of the sump catches any and all leaking oil

really looks good. Great efforts in maintaining the standard. Yours is converted to OBD2 if i remember correctly - so your setup is likely similar to mine with the schrick. Did you also get cams in there? It'll be running beautifully no doubt. Enjoy!

You weren't username Solitaire by any chance? I remember someone some years back with an auto issue we were trying to solve?

looks really good! Well done for all that effort - no doubt i will be a pleasure to drive

I would dremel it smooth to remove any point stress and then touch it up with hammerite or something similar. In fact you could also just use a round file to take that hard edge off. You'd just end up with a slight dip along the line. If you really wanted to, you could get some weld put in and ground back.

shaun? Is is just the lights in the clocks or the switches etc as well? If the clocks, it may just be the ribbon connection to them

I think that was the old ad.. -
Hi Ben, one of my friends and his wife are coming down on the weekend so would have been ideal. Problem is they're coming in his 911 so he says they prob wont fit. Dont have a 911 so no idea if he's right or not about fitting in the car, unless someone could advise? Hasan

Beautiful shine. The new carpet makes it look like a new room in a house. Bet it feels (and smells!) great
-
Good question! That would be an ideal place to meet up. Whereabouts in Stafford are you? I've just asked a few friends if anyone could pick them up from you.

to be honest its probably easier without the tool - just gently ease it back, you'll know how much pressure to apply, which isnt much. It will pop backwards and as fendervg says just rotate it 90 degrees and take it out. Refitting is again by feel - gentle pressure and it pops back into the retaining slots
