great work and excellent pics too.

That would be a shame - many timewasters there unfortunately

does anyone know the Furniture Clinic corrado beige colour code?
-
did this sell then? Awesome build thread
-
did you manage to scan it for error codes?
-
you could just use the AAA manifold - low end torque is improved somewhat with a small sacrifice at the top end. That's how i ran mine until i fitted the schrick

Excellent work there oneohtwo! I'll be making one of these and compare with the existing loom i have as to which is better - and quieter!

if money was no question which car would be top of your list. ?

funny you mention the pantera - just watching some vids of old and modernised ones. Stunning car That and the new ferrari-engined lancia stratos. i'd love to buy a kit car of one of these as i'd never be able to afford a real one! -
Thanks Tony. Ive registered it on their website but don't really expect anything to happen. Are they likely to check for fingerprints or shall i move the car and get a new cat? I need to put the corrado on ramps to do the crossmember bushes but as this might take a few days I'm kind of in two minds now... Nice to hear of jacks collapsing on these scum, though

thanks guys. I knew something was up as the door handle seemed a bit tacky underneath, where they'd obviously tried opening it. No obvious damage as it was close to the kerb, but i'll jack it up on the driveway and have proper look, A very clean cut on the downpipe where they've cut it off, so obviously experienced gits Hasan

Chris Gaskell's old storm - Auctioned this week

Good pics to use as a reference to how panels etc should actually sit when fitted. Chris had such incredible knowledge on the Corrado, literally to the nth degree. -
Nicked from the Yaris yesterday afternoon! Pretty brazen. Neighbours Ring doorbell picked up literally 3 seconds of video. How do you report this, who to, and is it even worth it? Replacement cost isn't too bad, just a hassle. There have been a few pikeys roaming around recently asking if we want our driveway cleaned... Thanks Hasan

Thanks Shaun. Yes the easiest thing to do is to get the smallest u-bracket you can find (Screwfix do them i think) and screw this across the top of the channel, underneath the yellow plastic. This holds the plastic portion in place and maintains tension in the cable guide. Best to pull the cable sheath as far up as possible before you mark the holes to drill, then just screw the loop down. Use the base portion, which is usually a slotted billet piece, on the cable side, and put the loop portion on the other side - if that makes sense! Hope that helps Hasan

i think you've done some superb work on the car so a few oversights are no biggie. Bleeding the abs block can either be done using vcds or as a minimum with the ignition on you can open each bleed nipple and let some fluid out from there manually. Hasan

Looks magnificent! I think those two have (green) caps on them.
-
Just thinking the other way around, is there a mk2 insert that could be used instead?
-
This would be great item to remanufacture - again, if we can get some CAD images i can get a mock-up and hence pricing done, for say 10, 20 and 50 off.

No worries and thanks for the clarification 👍 Good tip, thanks Stuart. Hasan

I need to swop the front crossmember bushes. Just thinking whether its worth getting a replacement to prep and fit the new bushes to speed up the swopover time. If anyone has one locally that i could collect, that would be ideal. Based in Middlesex. Are any others the same? 2.0 16v perhaps? Thanks Hasan

excellent! Nice accelerator pedal there - looks like it fits nicely

This was in my inbox from a new subscriber to the forum called mountareola, in response to my wanted ad: " Hello friend, I have a cousin who deals with stuffs like this and am sure he should have the vr6 belt tensioner that you are looking to buy you can send me your email so I'll have him to message you or you can reach out to him on his email address [email protected] For more info Good luck Sent from my itel W6002 using Tapatalk "

funny you say that Dox - i've often thought about an engine and gearbox swop for an auto....seriously! Not the 096 but something more efficient and modern from the VAG fleet..in another Corrado though, i'd prefer to keep this one manual
-
the main things will be ( in addition to the gearbox): Top rad hose, connects the Rad to the thermo and top of the expansion tank - ive still not replaced mine (will do soon!) instead sealed the end that goes to the auto tranny cooler and its not leaked in 14 years. Hose that connects the thermo housing to the auxiliary water pump and bottom of the expansion tank. 2 bottles of coolant New bolts for the steering column - you can use shear bolts or normal ones - your choice Accelerator Cable there are two types Reverse switch Flywheel NEW clutch, bearing etc New flywheel bolts Transmission mounting Interior trim piece’s, shift boot and shift knob Starter motor Pedal assembly /Pedal cluster Shifter Box Shifter Cables Clutch Master cylinder and slave cylinder Clutch hydraulic lines etc. Slave cylinder bracket Ecu and driveshafts are the same. Hope that helps. Hasan

The conversion is not too difficult tbh. Its best to try and get everything from a breaker though.

Have you flushed the autobox and changed the filter? There is a product called Lubegard, helps to reduce auto transmission slippage. Try that first and see how you get on. If you can get it scanned for errors it'll be useful to see what's in the ecu
