  1. How did you find their performance compared with 288s?
  2. isn't that one ChrisL's previous car? Our car database guru Dox will no doubt be able to confirm (or deny!)
  3. Hmm thats really a strange one. Ignition switch would give similar symptoms as you describe. But using Meyle which is a decent make shouldn't give you any issues. If there are no dash lights either it means there's no power at all. Which could mean loose connectors or wiring at the fuse box..are all the connectors properly seated and the locking clip pushed in? I'm inclined to think its something absolutely obvious, as you've replaced all the key suspects
  4. Those speedlines look fantastic! Slightly concave which i generally prefer to convex and perhaps an ideal combination of looks and comfort. Really tempted to get a set to replace the tt comps on mine

    Battery drain

Dragon how did you finally track it down to the actuator? Ive got a drain that im convinced is linked to the Toad alarm. I've got a HU display which also displays voltage. It was showing 12.3v when the battery was being charged (it had already gone flat, c.8 5V), car closed but alarm not set. Set the alarm and immediately went down from 12.3 to 8.9 and then came up slightly to 9.1 after the 30 second delay on the pneumatic actuator in the boot. So my guess is something in the alarm circuit. The passenger window is not opening or closing although the module clicks when you press the up or down button. So might be that too? Hasan

    brake upgrades

It will try and fishtail then. Jack the car up, loosen the bias valve, clamp it down a bit further and retighten. Might need to do a bit of trial and error with it.
  7. Is yours and AG or CP ecu? As tonedef says it could be the ecu immobiliser if its a CP, which uses the halo coil around the steering column. When you try and start it does the engine crank or does it simply show the dash lights? If the latter its pointing to an immob fault.
  8. prob worth getting some EPDM foam and cutting it into a block. Quite heat resistant Hasan
  9. thats a good shout with the tiewrap for the accelerator cable. I cut the bonnet with a cutting disc on the dremel. I taped the rib with masking tape and drew the cutout shape on it. Couldn't get it right so i prob ended up cutting more than necessary, but its quote easy to tidy up with the dremel
  10. Great pics! I agree about the accelerator cable, just looks silly. I didn't refit any of the cable guides, cant remember why not, but without them the bay does look messy. I need to do a tidy up of mine, even though being OBD2 its a little cluttered than before.
  11. As Cressa says here's the Diavia system diagram. Hope its of some help. Hasan Diavia_Aircon_diagram.pdf
  12. have you cleaned the MAF with carb cleaner or something similar? Check the spades in the connector as well as the wires by the connector itself for any corrosion.
  13. excellent! That'll certainly make the car feel like new inside when its finished
  14. Your carpet goes all the way under the back seat? Mine just goes over the steel bridge
  15. Pretty much a total rebuild! Excellent, but just a shame you didn't manage to photograph any of it. We love pics here 🙂
  16. Looks great, plus a bonus on the ride quality
  17. Engine rebuild sounds interesting. What did you do? Any pics would also be great to see
  18. You're not wrong about investment - we've put in a lot of time and money on components, some of which did not then sell in the volumes we expected

    Porsche seats...

Mods, any chance of getting these pics back?
  21. those seats look amazing Sean! I need to get some dye for mine - i think you sent me the best colour match supplier somewhere, just can't locate it right now... Hasan
  22. just seen the prices (couldn't see them on my phone for some reason). Not cheap but i know that a fair amount of work is involved in producing these. We'll continue with the development of our versions, and see if there's any advantage against these ones.
  23. Great find. We've been working on making these too but these do look good
  24. thats interesting - matching the tank strap and caliper colour. Some great work going on there Stone!
