Tinsman, Where'd you get snow from? and you want a cold air intake! I run a Giac chip and to be honest i don't rate it! However the UK VRs are a 2.9 and run on 98.6octaine fuel so the map on thier chip is sh1t for us! I will get a propper re-map when funds allow but a plug & play chip is not the answer as every engine and air temp for every car is different, may aswell stay with the chip you have now and spend your money on something more worthy! Chris

I have an exhaust too! so i may aswell tell you about it ;-) It's a full S/Steel system from Mongoose with twin upswept DTM's popping out from under the bumper, not loud at all but gives a lovely tone at mid revs and is quiet on the motorway which makes it an "essential selection" as Pete Tong says! Chrishill, nice to see another C owner in the Northeast has found the forum! Did you see the Topic on Northeast Corrado's? Chris

Squilling / Squirting Noise when ignition is on
Chris VR6nos replied to ShockVR6's topic in Engine Bay
The squishing noise is the aux water pump circulating coolant and the odd bubble around. Chris P.s. This is a good noise, worry when it stops! -
Why is everything at the wrong end of the country? Chris

What are the best spark leads and plugs for a VR6
Chris VR6nos replied to BarneyVR6's topic in Engine Bay
I have always ran NGK Platinum BKR5EKUP plugs and Magnatec 10W40 year round with no probs or rattles! Chris -
The stickers should have been made from electroluminesent material then you wouldn't need the extra power 'cos you'd want to go slow to show the stickers off ;-) I bought the Alpine 1005R head unit with retractible 16:9 screen and it always will attract comments! The nav unit just fits under the passenger seat too! Chris

An important point of difference is that the C has a narrower rear axle which makes it corner much better! The C had the lowest coefficient of drag in it's class when made and for many years after and the stability is asserted with the dynamic rear spoiler! Corrado wins every time!!!! I love my VR6! Chris

Jai, the 3rd break light is a legel requirement in usa as far as i'm aware and, Stevemac, I love my side mouldings, they have saved a lot of dents!!!! Chris

Why have i got a light alloy samller diameter p/steering pully on then? Chris

Twaddle the lot of it! AAA pfffff! Get serious. Learn to drive the engine instead of just the car. There is no point using AAA stuff to give lower rev torque as the engine comes on song over 4k pretty much because of head design etc so to restrict the top end with an AAA manifold is twaddle plus they are a different pin pattern so you'd have to use the smaller throttle body. Twaddle! Chris. Buy a Nos kit and stop messing around, i'll give you some discount! ;-)

What exactly is the question? Yes the Schrick cams are good and the reason for the asymetric profile is specific the forced induction setup so you reduce blowthrough from the positive pressure from the charger which is the opposite from normally aspirated engines. Chris

I was in Belgium though! Chris Das gut yah!

Unfortunately it is not my project but the brainchild of DSP that did the speedster & gullwing golfs. It's rear engined too. Chris

Hi all, Just got back from Belgium, from VW Mania. The show was a little disappointing however I did enjoy myself. I'll post some pics up as sort them out and find out how to post video clips if I can. Chris

The higher end cars all use charge coolers because the benefit from an intercooler only happens once sufficiant air is passing through it! they are notoriously inefficiant at lower speeds, hance drag cars not using them. as there would be a drop in power instesd of an increase until the air-to-air intercooler reaces efficiency, this would be half way down the strip! The air to water charge cooler is just as efficient at tickover and doesn't need a spray bar in front of it to cool it down when it looses efficiency once it has warmed up after a run! The charge cooler is an advancement over and beyond the intercooler and has been more developed for more efficiency, and my thoughts are, if you want simplicity, sell your C and get a fiesta! Chris
