is there spark when cranking and do the injectors work also when cranking?
-
the spacers should have a step machined out to fit on the rear hubs,if they are flat then they will run untrue.
-
they do dizzy mate. https://www.c2motorsports.net/shop/p-76 ... eprom.aspx this is the US site but C2 UK will do it also.
-
Yea it will be fine,C2 motorsports do a chip for the obd1,but im sure if it coilpack or dizzy? that supports upto 350hp,have a look on there site bud or better give them a ring as they are good to chat to mate. :D
-
If its for a stock motor then no,but if you want to go FI then OBD2 would be far better and would be the same amount of work swapping to coilpack :)

the decent screens will have the two side trims already attached and new outer seal.the screen removal is done normaly so should have no problems, its getting the trim seal around the window in correct and taping the glass up while the bond sets, also once he cuts 3/4 of the screen out the lower part is cut with a blade, this sometimes can cut the seal on the dash, you will never know its there untill the screen is out.

Yea im good Mike, you still working all over the place  As for new bolts, most garages dont use new bolts unless you asked for them and they will not be checking any user guides on fitting instructions im sure on that one :ignore: Also they would have to pre order the bolts as they would not have had them on the shelf, but its happend now and you found it before it rubbed a hole in your fuel tank! Ive got no problems with calling trading standards but for the price of a bolt its sometimes easier just to replace mate when no harm was done. also just my 2p
-
Good thing you spotted that, but it would have been making allot of noise for a while right? Bolts snapp all the time, plus his car has been fitted with non standard items,so you dont have much to stand on...... You cant get an air gun in there, only air ratchet at the most ,but either way that bolt has been over tightend ,but by who? and how many times has that bolt been in and out of the vehicles life?

What i find funny about this is that its the all MOT stations do not have to give free retests.its there discretion and not part of VOSA's guide lines and they could have charged you again, but they did not, also when it comes to rear wheel bearings on early VW's they are supposed to have a small amount of play for the bearing to take up the slack once warmed up,this info should be printed off on the VT40 and is common. I'm a Tester by trade and i miss items every now and again,im human, as are all other NT's,some tester do think they are "GOD" when it comes to testing tho. Just to note, you really need to get your car tested and repaired at the same station as they will not fail there own work, going from garage to garage to find cheaper deals has cost you more at the end of the day..

Is there any (good) brake discs that won't rust/loose colour
CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to Mawrick's topic in Drivetrain

that must have took a fair old knock to do that! fecking delevery services! :censored: You would need to groove and weld the head and then line bore the cap out to line up with the rest...cost? better off with a used head mate....gutting! The car is looking minty fresh tho! 8)

Me and you think alike! i was some time ago going to use a early bonnet with a later bonnet hump grafted on with a small entry, scoop close to the front, then open up a hole in the rear in the underside directly above the turbo! mabey one day? They do cool the bay allot more than before so they are a good mod and down your way its essential!! The turbo is a T70 mate. :) Cheers bud,im hoping they will suit it well, once painted it should be just right :) ,sticking with 205 at the front and 215 at the rear  Done a bit more, stripped all the stone chip off the drivers sill,so once painted it will be nice and smooth, finished off tailgate and made up some bonnet vets, used the holes i made with the last set, still not sure, but once painted it should look good...i hope lol! Everything that is bare steel is painted with cure-rust,brill stuff...just to make sure nothing comes back in future years to come.
