Looks like the droplink is on upside-down! The ARB should be above the wishbone!
  2. Vaughan, sounds like a mare :( Any pics? That's a good quote- was that ColourTech? Hate to say it, but you may be in for quite a wait from the Council. Glos council are still processing our claim. Just keep badgering them. See you Sunday!
  3. Michael, looks superb! Much better now- looks complete 8)
  4. You'll need to take off the black plastic engine cover/HT guide bit on the top above the pump. Unplug the electrical plug on top ogf the pump. Undo the two hoses (remember the engine needs to be cold!!!!). Slide pump down out of rubber ring/holder. Fitting new pump is reverse of above. It's really easy!
  5. The ISV is the Idle Stabilisation Valve, which opens and shuts according to airflow etc and stops the car from stalling/maintains a steady idle. It's at the back of the VR6 engine, under the rear plastic HT lead guide. It will have a couple of air hoses and an electrical plug connected to it. The hoses lead to the black plastic damper pot behind. Well worth removing the ISV and giving it a good soak in carb cleaner, then a good spray with WD40 once clean.
  6. Just take the foam out completely, or remove the damper. Had a stalling prob on mine- the foam had been sucked into one of the ISV pipes. Just removed the whole thing. All you need is a bit of hosing the same diameter as the ISV hoses.
  7. Best from G60 = 52 mpg Best from 16v = 42 mpg Best from VR6 = 37 mpg
  8. Car is looking great! Liking the chops 8)
  9. Pretty sure the backbox at least is identical.
  10. Try removing one of the sensors from the side of the metering head- sorry, can't remember which one- will have to be trial and error! My old valver had a similar problem just before the last Stealth RR day  Went through a huge puddle and the car wouldn't run. Removing the sensor enabled the car to run (badly), and to stop it stalling we adjusted the screw on the throttle cable. I drove it home OK (horrible to drive though!) and the heat from the engine + air from behind the headlights etc dried all the water up from the metering head/intake. Then plugged sensor back in and it ran fine again! Worth a go! ps- this is in the wrong section ;)
  11. You need a 17mm socket plug remover- you can get them from Halfords.
  12. Had a look at mine earlier, and it looks the same as yours. I think it has a kind of 'indented' plug, a bit like the one for the gearbox oil.
  13. Can you put your finger in there? There is a kind of metal plug- looks like it's either missing or damaged.
  14. Looking forward to the pics 8) You've been very patient, Dave!

duke_st, that's a good price. We claimed through Flux a few weeks ago for our damaged vRS. They were excellent and we had the car back, valeted and looking totally minty within a few days. Very happy with the service.
  16. Disagree about a standard Teg beating a standard C. When I had my first VR, I beat a Teg Type R on the motorway- he was so cross he couldn't pull away, he started throwing rubbish out of his window at me! Get caught in the wrong gear in VTEC and you're done for. By the time you get it back in the zone it's too late. I remember being destroyed by a Polo TDI when I had my EG Civic VTI. Off the lights it was very quick, and also if you were keeping it in VTEC the whole time (which becomes very tiring after about 5 mins!). For 'real world' driving though, not that impressive. Love the Integra- especially the DC5. They're rare and look good, brilliant handling a fast. I think a VR is a match for one though- especially at higher speeds.
  17. That looks fantastic- don't normally like bling rims or white cars, but yours looks awesome 8) too hot, happy birthday!
  18. You should get between 15 and 16 seconds. Don't like your chances against the Supra though!
  19. Can't sell the 17s until the Speedies are on the car ;) Still got two to finish. Yep, painted the insides + centre caps as well. It's actually pretty straight forward- you've just got to take your time. I was quite lucky in that the rims were already in a good state, with very little kerbing, no chunks missing etc. Not sure if I'd have attempted it if they were like that!
  20. Should be getting them off Judith this Sunday... Thanks again! :)
  21. Decided to get rid of the 17s and go for some Speedlines. You can't really go wrong with a C slammed on Speedies- think they are an awesome wheel- just a shame they weren't 16"! :( Anyway, picked up a set of good Speedies pretty cheap, and have had a go at refurbing them in a darker colour. Didn't want black as everyone seems to be doing that these days, so went for a halfway house colour. Ended up picking Rover Gunmetal Metallic. Finished two wheels so far- they're not perfect, but overall I'm very pleased with the results. Whaddaya reckon? ps- they're a lot more sparkly/metallic in the metal- doesn't show up very well in the pics.
