Vince at Stealth racing fitted a Bremi 20132 on mine so must be good as he wouldn't use junk. I imagine Beru is the best one out there. I would stay well clear of that Topran garbage. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BREMI-Ignition-Coil-VW-TRANSPORTER-CARAVELLE-2-8-VR6-2-8-VR-6/233317690780?epid=1520056557&hash=item3652d16d9c:g:G5UAAOSwle1dW5e4

Hi swiftkid, Sorry to change the subject but I noticed the comment I have worked on tons of MK2 golfs. Does that mean you have some parts stored away still ha ? Im after some Mk2 Golf CE2 clocks 16V 160 mph 8000 revs. Thanks My cogs at the back of the odometer(mileage recorder) must have failed as my mileage recorder and restart is stuck. Speedo is working though.

Hi Shaun, Hope all is well I've noticed that Rado from Northern Ireland that sold last year is now for sale in Sheffield with the rare Recaros leather bolster cloth interior. I bet you would be tempted to do deal if you didnt all ready have a set of leather Recaros. I've got the gauge pods and Schrick, would really like some front black leather Recaros to finish it off, however I've got to spend the money on the engine I reckon. Must say though after taking the stock leather seats out my car to do the insulation they weighed a ton which is always a good sign of quality to be fair.

Sounds like it could be a be a black magic one if its late and on a N reg?

Nice one Sean.

Only dilemma is these small patches can lead to a MOT failure as they are close enough to the seat belt anchor points and also will just get bigger if not cut out. 100 percent need to think things through though. Sometimes its better to know the devil then devil you don't. However I imagine you would be an expert on the pre inspection on these cars by now. Sean have you got a link for Nothelle G60 Corrado sounds bloomin cool. Thanks

Hi sea, Just to let you know I just spoke to Vince for you and the company he uses is called poweracks Think its this company. https://www.powerracksdirect.co.uk/ Same company as all ready mentioned best to say your trading as self employed mechanic as only trade . Just say Sean mechanics and give your home address dont mean nothing nothing at the end of the day.

Rob can you get some sort of bitumen paint, there is loads of roof paint out there now as well, just paint the scuttle in that area first. Yes you stick it to the foliage cover. Just noticed this is up for sale still. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201911134315965?radius=1501&model=CORRADO&advertising-location=at_cars&sort=relevance&make=VOLKSWAGEN&postcode=b736hg&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&page=1 Ah the dampproofing game , biggest cause of damp are vent bricks getting covered up by raised drives and also badly maintained roofs. and gutters. If you ever have damp if you address the water ingress or lack breathing through blocked vents you should not need any wall injection. Also put trickle vents in your windows and leave them open always.
-
Rob did you stick the gasket to the foliage cover or the scuttle panel first ? Why don't you get some of that waterproof paint and then paint round the foliage housing and then get another gasket and give it another go.
-
Lets be honest Rob if you fixed that leak you prob wouldn't feel like selling . Is there anyone local to Rob to pop over his and give him a hand to identify the leak and check the gasket is correct on his foliage cover? The two rot spots under your car wont cost too much mate. However if it is the window frame mate I would prob let her go to be honest. My car is outside as well but I really think its salty roads that cause the rot not the rain when it is sitting on your drive.
-
I can totally understand this Rob after the thousands spent on body work in previous years. getting that water leak recently and the underbody rot mot failure you had. Just take your time bud and think it over. If it is the windscreen leaking again I would let go myself. Does not mean the end of Corrado ownership, you could get a fair bit out of your car and put it towards a well sorted one. Rather then spending thousands on yours again. It might even be more economical. Best of luck whatever you decide!

Sure thing I would say its a great time of year to negotiate a bargain price for a car.

Its a red one mate with black leather. By the looks of it the sunroof and spoiler works. Its the 2.0 16V as well. https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/80616426_10157049671332833_3808955239235584000_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&_nc_oc=AQkt3PcnUuyUhp7BE1UAndB31LaDsUVlQg4c82YjKuPUZfzxGZxPA04IzCAUCymLwHg&_nc_ht=scontent-lht6-1.xx&oh=b2596f3aef0ebd4bf03d5dc0091e3a77&oe=5EB2FF88 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1221601291371508/ Could have the best of both words with a VR6 and the peppey lightweight 16v. Thay do look good in red !!!! 2Ltr 16V Corrado, engine was rebuilt at around 150,000 miles. MOT until end of July 2020. Not currently taxed so unfortunately no test drives. I’ve not used it since late August, had a brand new battery fitted in the summer. Full heated leather rare and highly sought after. KR cams Chipped Jetex exhaust and Decat AP coilovers Runs perfect. However it can get hot in traffic. £2250ono Need it gone as it’s taking up space. It’s not getting the use it needs and deserves. No swaps or PX. Cash only. Speedo mileage reads different to what it actually is, I’ve got the original clocks in the boot they stopped working hence a mileage discrepancy on the MOT history. Can be viewed at any time just let me know. Less More map Seller information James Robertson Joined Facebook in 2007 Sponsored

Carried on with the next phase of my insulation renewal toady. I did the door card membrane last year and was not to impressed with the Heritage plastic sheeting, I should of stopped right there and sourced some new stuff. I used this VW grey waterproof membrane this time which is considerably thicker and I imagine also contributes to the soundproofing. Used alongside butyl tape to adhere. Cost £30.00 from dealers for x2 sheets one for each door. Pictures at bottom of album if you click on link. Shows end results and difference in thickness. Please keep in mind Im no trimmer! Door cards fitted on absolutely fine with the new membrane. Yes Dox I gave the window rail that the wheels run in a clean then a lithium greasing whilst in there what a difference ! Please note my door sill trims are missing as Im waiting for some VW grommets to arrive to fit in the holes as my old clips were after market and rattling - proper job are clips and grommets to dampen. https://photos.app.goo.gl/KofL9bRESGSeZJv47

This car seems ok priced and has leather interior , engine bay looks clean and complete as well. Also some has some BBS RA by the looks of it. I reckon the seller is after a quick sale. If you could get if for £1500, a full leather interior seems to be worth 1K alone these days ? Would be cheaper then a VR to insure as well for your son? I know Chris Ferry has two VR6 for sale project cars for around 2k. Red one priced at 2250 in Wrexham. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/birmingham/search/?query=corrado&vertical=C2C&sort=BEST_MATCH

Hi Sean. Looking over the Stealth receipt this morning it shows £230.00 for Steering rack and £97.00 for steering pump. I only changed mine as I had to but I suppose anything over 20 years old it will give you peace of mind refurbing if you have the rack off the car.

I was chatting to someone tonight who has owned two VSR manifolds at the same time and also has a VW Motorsport bell housing 6 speed gearbox Gemini. He got one of the VSR from a mk3 golf VR^ a few years back, it was a car flipper that didn't know what he got, he then sold the golf and got his money back and a free VSR = good business hey . He sold one of the VSR to a chap in the States last year. The other one he did not want to sell but mentioned they are worth 3k. (well to him but I've seem them sell cheaper) Cant give the guys name I'm afraid as he has no plans on selling the last one he owns and was very adamant about that.

Hi Sean, Ill find out on Monday from Vince for you mate, I think they have them In stock all ready and you send yours in and get some money back. Bit of a funny story with mine to be honest. my power steering pipe the one that goes through the front panel all got powder coated, any way to cut a long story short some sand was was left in the pipe from blasting and when the power sytem was fitted to the car again the sand got through the system and f..... up the pump and rack. Whole system had to be stripped and flush and had to get a new pump and rack. Moral of the story thouroughly check any powder coated parts that come in contact with internal fluids !!!

Hi , Thanks for the praise. I've still got work to complete to be honest. I'm going to bore the engine out to 3 litres next year and do a complete engine rebuild. If your in the British Colombia area I'm pretty sure there is a Corrado specialist in Oregon that I have seen on on this guys youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClJifD34bmyu-K3y1hF0_uA The steering rack got refurbished by a UK company, power steering pump you can get off ebay I imagine but my mechanic sourced that so not sure. The stainless steel tank straps are from ebay a UK seller that handbuilds them and are for 70 liters tank (check yours is that size as there is variation throughout the Corrado range) https://www.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClJifD34bmyu-K3y1hF0_uAebay.co.uk/itm/Vr6-GOLF-CORRADO-MIRROR-STAINLESS-STEEL-GOLF-TANK-STRAPS-70-litre/233386933291?hash=item3656f1fc2b:g:srIAAOxy9tpSA0~7 I got my front decals and rear from this chap off facebook who handcrafts them . Renewart. https://www.facebook.com/renewartlleida/?eid=ARCXDUlCFz-YodxtmsfmuckDXYtGyf-k1-RolEvzGPOxRRFwABkjcilhlle1lbHNFn9R2wYeIw52Wo-Q&timeline_context_item_type=intro_card_work&timeline_context_item_source=1470284016&fref=tag Alternativ;ey this seller has started to manufacture them alongside some other obsolete Corrado parts. https://gryp-3d.com/pieces-auto-collection-2-2-2/volkswagen/ Hope this helps !

At That price it’s worth buying the whole stock and selling them on . Vw classics uk sell them I think .
-
That’s a brilliant price if it’s the right part . You can send any internet purchase back within 30 days a get a full refund . That bird company sell loads of stuff looks like they may purchase bankrupt stock ?
