Have you actually checked VW classics to see if the rear of the clocks the brains are still available- I purchased a complete unit for my 95 VR6 a couple of years ago - do you know how to use etka ? Get your part number from the diagram and then check on this website. Here look on here - this would of been your cheapest route and you get all new. Bolt on bolt off yes it would change the mileage but thats better then clocks failing in the near future again Get one whilst you can but please check if it is available for your model as variations. Your cluster specialist will be able to change the mileage to match your existing to be fair or anyone with a bit of knowledge. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/catalogsearch/result/?q=corrado+circuit&order=relevance&dir=desc

What 80's - 90s cars for sale have caught your eye recently.
Keyo replied to Keyo's topic in General Car Chat
Sure they are basically a cheap Mk1 - but they only weigh 800 KG which sounds fun to me . - I would swop out the horrible rear lights and the dash - also think an integrale rear boot spoiler would look ultra cool. but the body kit looks awesome on the R line IMO and is apparently the most powerful MK1 to come off the production line. The rear corner panel with the indent feature is actually to make the car stronger apparently. -

I wouldn't bother getting one unless it was an R line (100 made) as the body kit- seats and engine are cool - they use VW Motorsport 272 cams. Last one sold a year or two back for 6k in South Africa for a 1 in 100 car that it good money for the rarity - no dealt a great investment car and will really spin out MK1 owners ha ! I would change the back lights and possibly the dash- hardest thing would be getting hold of one and understanding the history and authenticity of the car purchased abroad- would have to put your trust in someone you never met. There is a corrado owner in S. Africa on FB page. -

Sure chap totally agree - they changed the interior in early 2000 s - I wonder if it would take an original MK1 dash. Have you seen one at a show mate in Ireland ? They only made 100 of the R line apparently and 150 of the 1.8 is . I think for 6 grand they are a great investment car and would spin people out at shows which would be hilarious. . -

These Mk1 golfs manufactured in till 2009 in the South African factory have always intrigued me. When the MK2 was released the VW factory decided it was too expensive to buy new tooling and carried on manufacturing the MK1 but changed the name to the MK1 Golf Citi- in the South African market . Really like the 1.8 citi R line which with a 1.8 - body kit and half leathers rare but made a more common 1.8 . I think it would be fun to import one - they are very common S. Africa and have modern interiors etc from factory. They have four headlights at the front etc and are basically a modern MK1. Keyo replied to g0ldf1ng3r's topic in Wanted
Have you asked the seller on here might still have some knocking about ? User name funkser. t Also mate the rattle is likely to be a broken clip on the bottom of the window- can be cured with some solvent grabber adhesive. . -
Mine are still on but have seen better days for sure !
-
Absolutely not mate I was more wondering if any UK cars came with them - they also have a special seal under the door for dust region which is still available ( UK ones are na)- I think they came on Canadian cars . l Far too much water comes out my door drain hole when opening the car but my car is parked downhill - I really think its the outer door scrapers old with no tension anymore.
-
Never knew these door frame seals existed- says they are for dusty regions and still available left and right for a whopping £180.00 each. I take it know one has got them on UK cars. Oh nice a Schrick is a good bonus on top of all the other work carried out. Not working on two is an easy fix just need to bend the contact a little on the round copper piece . -
Can reccomend this Germanic no nonsense amatuer mechainic that would put most professionals to shame. Rarely puts out a video but worth the wait. First. Second

Sure chap I have a BLAUPUNKT FREIBURG SQM 26 owning a 91 model I think it was early mk2 19e - also the screen is orange and it is nice to have matching to dash so a Gamma 3 is on the cards.
-
Mate over the moon with it to be honest and was happy to see all the cabling behind the stereo was in good order with original plugs. Fen have you ever seen this 3 cd changer for the USA market )Gamma 3 ) holy smoke not cheap sit down. 1.1K https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Gamma-3-CD-US-model-357-035-196/254213965274?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 Would really like a Gamma 3 for my Mk2 now - love the Gamma ha !
-
Happy days thanks for sorting .
-
Very happy with the Gamma 4 radio that came on a USA Corrado and Europe- the plastic is the same as the dash and green illumination spot on = Great sound quality. Came on a B4 Passat in the UK and maybe other models- for some reason UK Corrado came with a Sony face off which I'm not really liking to be honest., Corrado 95 UK brochure.
-
I don't think the corrado has shims from memory but on all other cars I've owned they had different size shims for a bit of play in drop.
-
I've got a feeling its something small like the plug is not housed into the ecu fully. Fingers crossed.
