Sure investment in a modern classic is not really on the cards taking into account the costs unless its a very high value car - looks a real nice one you got there just hope another none attention payer don't get you as the more its on the road so does the potential especially in rush hour traffic when people are most likely not to pay attention - I daily my Mk2 golf in the summer 6.00 am morning- 14.30 home (scaffolders early bird catches the worm) but the winters and the salt on the Motorways are just horrific for them and parts so hard to get a hold of. Tax will be free by the time they get to 40 years old- hopefully might drop down back to 25 years or less when we drop out of the EU as the 40 year old kicked in to tie into EU law whatever its called .
-
Congrats that looks a clean one with a good colour combo- sure investment- its a shame you have to daily it everyday and wont be a few winters on that snow and the rust will show its face. Cant you get a cheap Mk4 diesel or something for the daily drive.
-
Might be worth cutting in from bottom of Scuttle to the sunroof if you can get a good cut from somewhere .
-
To be honest its fitted now - Ive got rather handy at it and can fit one in 20 minutes now- you get good at something if you keep practicing ha ! You want to feel how hot its in that car with black paint and headliner in 30 degrees = quicker I get this garage built the better- I suppose in hotter climates they have this issue all the time.
-
No chap have not spoke out of the vag circle- the trimmer has done it Friday I stripped out the the headliner do he didnt crack every interior part so fingers crossed it is a success= looks awesome now but hard to take photos of it because of the darkness in the car- time will tell and another 30 degree devil of a day ha ! I was mocking him a bit and asked him if he made the old glue himself through lock down from a squirrel road kill and didn't see the funny side.

Someone shared me pictures of these rare VSR options by Cox Motorsport in Japan. They released a brochure with some parts that could be purchased from VW Motorsport and they would fit you together a VSR MK3 or Vento . They were a racing team based in Japan and still in existence today. As far as I'm aware these were not available to any other market and I Imagine because Cox were a racing team and they were allowed to sell them because I have never seen these items in any of the VAG Catalogues but could be wrong of course. http://www.cox.co.jp/company/r_history_e.html Includes the Vento Speed Lines which were a pricey £423.00 per alloy (£1692.00 a set of four in 1993) in today's money is £2,695.00 based on the bank England inflation calculator. There was also a 4 stud version in a smaller style and size. VSR Manifold Kit £3800.00 in 2003 VSR Package not including manifold or alloys in 2003 £1792.00 Lots of other extras you could buy including the VSR of course - steering wheel- VSR front decal and many other items. Attached various pages of the brochures - interesting read guys. https://m.blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=kkk6323&logNo=220999371527&categoryNo=111&proxyReferer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&fbclid=IwAR2aKFhRWb6sZMgBG5RvoKED2KlR6wJqLwJBq0NYvYz1SX4gUkyFCXNT4Qk

Looks like your man stumbles across a rare 60k plus mini in his 5 barn sprite find.

Thanks if the high temp glue doesn't work then unfortunately will have to put it down to a massive fail of the material Heritage are supplying and get some fabric material- I know of at three other Mk2 owners that have had the same failure with the vinyl they supply- others are mostly in the garage and really to test how good the glue is the car needs to see some 30 degree weather all day in the sun. Im starting to think the material has too much shrink in it - wouldn't surprise me to be honest we are talking the Meyle and topran No 1 suppliers.

I know what you mean but as they get old they start to look really classy in my eyes. The guy says getting rid of some of his cars would love to see what else he had. -

Bet you its an AAA block in there too- its actually to far gone for a parts car if there is such thing ha ! Everytime you needed a spare off it would be damaged or incorrect part off another corrado or Mk3 golf . -

Thanks mate but looking at the product description on 3m 77 its not uv sunlight resistant and only medium tack which is the reason my first one failed as the trimmer used glue not upto the job of high temperature- it doesn't help they I've got a fibreglass backing and vinyl which is OE- it really does not let the heat out unlike a fabric material - going to try martim brush on high temp glue 120 degress hopefully it will hold and it is a commercial product. Got the £14.40 120 degrees brush on from Martrim https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/glues-and-adhesives.php 3m 77 Spray Can DimensionsProduct Depth (in.) 3Product Height (in.) 9Product Width (in.) 3 inSpray Adhesive DetailsAdhesion level: MediumAdhesive Product Type: Glue/EpoxyCuring time (hours): 1Dries clear: YesDrillable: YesFeatures: Dries Clear, Drillable, Moisture Resistant, Sandable, Solvent ResistantFlammable: YesGlue/epoxy type: Spray adhesiveIndoor/Outdoor: Indoor/OutdoorMoisture Resistant: YesProduct Weight (oz.): 16.75Returnable: 90-Day Sandable Yes Set Time (Min.): 60 Solvent resistant: Yes Stainable/Paintable: No UV/sunlight resistant: No

All i know mate I purchased them off ebay and when my car went in for its undercarriage restoration when completed he just gave them me back and said they were no good. Link attached of the ones I purchased back in 2018 still have them in the package in the parts shed . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Volkswagen-Corrado-16v-G60-VR6-Eibach-Ez-Front-Camber-Bolts-PAIR-5-81250K/231410249742?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

It wasn't the Eibach pro kit camber bolts by chance you were using chap = as I purchased some of them and Vince gave them me back and said no good.
-
If its the rear axle many came out of the factory sligh;y out - Vince was telling me you can only get some of them just outside but as mentioned they left the factory like that and nowt you can do. Its because when they built them they dropped them off a 50 foot cliff and the body just landed on the suspension to save time.

Irememberr in the the gangland killings in the essex boys there was a white corrado mentioned on the day - something to do with the case and was mentioned as evidence in court if you google it- you might be able to find out and see if someone owns on here or if they car is no more .

Was you lucky enough to get one from dmb chap ? I was lucky enough with my golf from Lonsdale London- they are great quality, Im thinking of getting them to make one up with W. Grose. Jack frost was a bit of a cool dealer. https://www.dmb.uk.com/prod/6038/jack-frost-hauxton-garage-cambridge-vw-dealer-sticker

First registered 01.03.1996 W. Grose Eurocar So my car was from W. Grose Eurocar in Northampton apply located on Scirocco close ! Grose was originally a car manufacturer and his children went into to dealerships in the 20th century. They had several slight name changes over the years and eventually closed business in 2012. There is still a J. Grose dealership no doubt a relative. My car was a dealers company car I think- I have attached a document below from the books that came with the car and appears it was signed over to the dealership as the first owner. It then stayed there for a couple years and moved onto Market Harborough then Epsom where it was owned for at least 18 years by a very good owner and was garaged and just a weekend car- last owner but me then dailed it and did 12 k miles a year and when I purchased the car another couple of bad years ownership could of been the end of her easily. Here is the handover document - someone in a forecourt came up to me once and said that was a VW company car from Northamton and I said how did you know that ans he mentione last three digits on the reg plate- is there any truth to this ? I've heard people mention before its a good thing if it was a dealers personal car why is that ? Thanks
