always worth getting a 2nd opinion how far are you from Stealth? initial cost sounds about right but be prepared for it to climb, & potentially very quickly i had a head rebuild at stealth & ended up chasing ailing parts round once new ones were installed, resulting in a cost over what you have been quoted unfortunately you cant tell what might start failing or what else might need renewing until you make a start personally, & i know others will differ on view, but i would discount an R32 swap (which could potentially work out cheaper) as it really removes the heart & soul of the VR - which is the 12 valve engine

indeed m8! i nearly typed that very sentence too lol im thinking of adapting them to put in the VR hopefully
-
ha ha - marmite wheel - very true & i never did make up my mind on them back in the day
-
they look like the oldskool TSW venom's but think they have the 'S' schmidt logo on them

tidy! thanks lilfuzz - i nearly just dropped you a PM instead of a wanted thread ;) lol have you one in good condition & heat element that works pls? :)
-
hi lilfuzz yes it is the outer rubber that follows the up & over contour of the window - i think it attaches as the bottom corner of the window & then by the wing mirror (i tried to take the pic to show it) do you have good ones of both sides pls? my drivers has a crack & the passenger has a bump thanks
-
Hi mick my early valver has grey OE door pods & they both have good grey OE speaker covers (as well as spare covers but one is a little cracked) would you like to discuss a PX via PM? EDIT - PM sent :)
-
hi all i have a split on the drivers side window rubber but my passenger isnt too decent either - has anyone got any good ones for sale pls? it is the rubber in the pic for example (easier than a description lol)
-
hello does anyone have a decent wing mirror glass for drivers side pls? i brought one off ebay a wile ago but the fit wasnt right & i want to replace it thanks
-
colour choice is personal, for me red is a bit common & chavvy but i guess it would work with the blue body i went with yellow on my HiSpec's as ive always liked the GT2 calipers being that colour again for me, the yellow looks superb against the blackberry body how about a neon green kind of colour? ive seen the sportier behemoth cayenne peppers & alike have a cracking green caliper

ouch!! im no expert but i wouldnt associate the louder of those noises as tappets good luck - it certainly doesnt sound healthy the poor thing

id like to go but sadly distance & cost is too much - off to the website thanks delfinis!! -
AFIK the VR received the 'wider track' as part of the early / late revision, whilst it also received the 5 stud pattern as such i believe all late vehicles would have the same front bumpers, only early or crossover year vehicles may have a slightly narrower front bumper (about 10mm each side i think) a call to VW wit the chassis number should get a 100% answer
-
ha ha i reckon it needs that much just for the bloody repair panels & welding lol
-
WTF!!?? that is an absurd price i would have guessed at around 100 notes max
-
a lot is an understatement!! lol dont think i have ever seen a car with that many car park dings in a door
-
my initial thought is 'god damn if only i could afford your LM's!!!' lol after thought is 'why didnt the gf & i keep her spare set of solitudes as i could have offered you them as part of a trade' PMSL seriously though - the LM's are & look awesome! i understand your motive for OE look but personally i think the LM's look much nicer than solitudes would which would move my train of thought to if you could have a set of solitudes as show spares

hi fender i believe the adhesive backed felt is the right stuff for the airbox relining - that is what i kindly got sent by someone on here not sure on the vents though
-
sorry i should have clarified - thats kinda what i meant as the G60 is a 1.8 lump, as is the 16v i have - thus if the conversion i mentioned was correct it should apply to you too :) 91 will be an early so putting the late caps etc on the vr coilovers should get you there - i have some printed out info that someone posted here for me somewhere, will go check for you
