Are those Black Forest engine mounts you're using? The work in this thread is really stunning, what are the final plans for the car? Fully rebuilt OEM/FI?
-
They're only about £45 from VW, I don't think many people are gonna have a spare lying about so you may as well get it direct :)

I think Audi have lost the plot a bit with the RS brand. People must be buying it though and I guess that's all that counts.

I've sold a few things through it, and it's really not much more hassle to put an advert together, although if you're selling multiple items it can get a bit long winded I suppose. I do think the old system had a bit more of a community sense to it: you could see who was buying what, and it created discussion, the new system is essentially faceless. That said, there were numerous times when sale threads used to get cluttered up with rubbish that didn't help get the item sold. The main problem I have with it is that you can't bump your item once it's listed. For example, I've had a Starter Motor and Flywheel listed for a while, so it's a few pages back. Any potential buyer is much more likely to buy the one on Page 1 that was listed more recently, and there's nothing I can do to get mine back to Page 1.

Autotech do 262s which are a beck of a lot cheaper than SP/Shrick.

Looks like one to watch for sure. Would like to see a few more photos of the caddy. Is it Syncro, Haldex or a mashup of the two? -
I'm a fan of the 16s too! Wonder if they'd fit over my Brembo/312 combo though.

That is one stunning car Karl, congratulations! Will look amazing wearing a set of RCs ;)

I don't get why it doesn't mention the paintwork at all? Like that's normal or something!? Low mileage though lol

Welcome to the forum! Is this Sean_jaymos old car?

I keep on looking at the giant pile of receipts and toying with the idea of adding them all up. Somehow, I don't think I'll like the result!

Long, and at times pretty technical read; but well worth it if you're if you've got some time at work: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1811355-Another-proof-why-BIGGER-brakes-are-NOT-always-best!

That engine cover does look great! Good luck chasing the Oil pressure problem. I had a close call the other week when my oil cooler died and dropped all its oil on the way to work- no buzzer or anything, just a lot of smoke when I stopped the car. Luckily nothing was damaged, but I was just about to drive 200 miles to Plymouth so very fortunate.

Love the underbody photos! Really makes me want to get under mine and make it all shiny!

How to fit / wire / install obd2
poll250 replied to C488ADO's topic in [Archive] Wiki Submissions & Collaboration
No difference between late (CP ecu) lambdas and OBD2 ones. Does that mean you have a CP ecu and MAF spare? ;) -
Bad news about the daily Andrew. I'm with Gaz: After all the trouble you've gone to collecting the parts it'd be a real shame not to follow through with the build now I think. I don't think mine will ever be "finished" but it's back and fast as all hell! Going back next week for some more mapping and to fit the Traction Control, then I'll do a big post all about it :)

Does anyone know of the top of their heads if the top and bottom Front Engine Mount Bolts are the same size/thread? and if so, what size? M10 x1.5? I'm having some problems with my engine lifting under power. Is there anything to stop me replacing the two bolts, with one long one with a nut on the end? Seems like it would secure the two together a lot better. FYI, I have this mount fitted: http://yhst-1918367471896.stores.yahoo.net/bfistfrmo.html

How about Greasegriffs supercharged Storm!?
-
Here's some photos: All pipes are in good condition, joints are fine. The rack is in good working order and not leaking. Just been sat in the shed for the last year so a bit of light surface rust. Let me know if interested, collection only from Oxford. Thanks

It'll be good to see you back in a Corrado Karl! Been too long. There are a lot of very good examples for sale at the moment so you've got the pick of the crop too!
