Videos needed! How does it compare to the 24v? I've just put the r32 in but long term plan was to go vrt
-
How much has been spent on your Corrado over the past 10 years?
swiftkid replied to andygal's topic in General Car Chat
Started adding up a while ago what I had spent on mine, when I got to 5 figures i wanted to cry! -
Have you got the link to rubjonnys wiring diagram page? Download g3vr6 94 onwards I think, all the info you need is there! He's over on club Gti and he's also written a post about how to read wiring diagrams if you struggle with that.

Apologies, just found his thread and it doesn't look like he used air con. I have seen it done though
-
As far as I know the aircon compressor clashes with the cross member, I have seen it fitted but obviously the angle grinder needs to come out. Try finding richie r32's build thread, fairly sure he fitted it and with decent pictures of it as well. You'll need auxillary bracket to suit aircon and the right size belt. I'd imagine it would all be disconnected when you got the parts so will be drained but I don't know a whole lot about aircon

Agree with Jim, seems only logical

Just a case of "hey look someone in the news has an old fast car that looks pretty, must be fastest car in britain". Absolutely stunning car and an awesome machine, but another reason why newspaper articles get on my nerves for writers knowing sod all, but it has done exactly what was required - all publicity is good publicity.

You Rang :D Well 2.0 will be CE2 so same fusebox as OBD1 and OBD2, as for the clocks what exactly isn't working? You shouldn't have needed to touch your G1/G2 plugs which have signals for clocks. Check your U1/U2 plugs, once the G1/G2 plugs are in, your U plugs take the signals to the clocks. Also might be worth checking on mk2vr6 website, I'm betting you'll find your answers on there. Also see below for links to OBD2 conversions. If any mods are reading this please either sticky or move the very detailed thread to WIKI page, seems an excellent knowledge base! OBD2 Conversion thead, very detailed!!! - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=87250 OBD2 Conversion thread (discussion thread) - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=54148 Also have a look here for wiring diagrams, G3 dash is most relevant: https://drive.google.com/?ddrp=1#folders/0B_V9-6xfgGlINzhhM2IyNmItOWRhZS00MzBkLTk2MTEtNGIyZDFmMDg0NWM2

I saw 146 degrees oil temp in my vr when it wasn't running right and the engine was still OK, if it does start getting hot maybe think of going to 10w50. As for water temp there's plenty of threads about making sure the fan works in each stage on here, Bridge contacts in yellow temp sensor, black and rad temp sensor. But i wouldn't worry too much about water vapour from your bonnet, when it's raining mine does it all the time and I have no foam. Also bare in mind the best operating temp for an engine is around 100 degrees anyway

I was just thinking that Jim, the air guide fits to the front but I will be fitting them to the rear. I was just going to fit some big washers, these ones are to suit 9" and 11" fans

OK, just logged completely out of everything seems to have cured it, but the massive text thing? Just noticed it whilst I was on non mobile site
-
Anyone else having problems viewing the site on tapatalk? Had a look on a few other sites and seems fine, seems to load the list of threads fine then just goes to loading screen Also, I've noticed some people's text is massive and others are normal size, eg this message with huge text

Just picked one up today, just sorting the direction control issue and it will be for sale. I presume yours has same issue?
-
Well havnt made much progress on it recently, my daily has been playing up so been taking that apart. One thing I did sort today which I'm very happy about, hanging pedal now works. I really didn't want a floor mount and after various people have told me it's not possible I was very nearly going to give up. Bought some Slimline fan brackets, just need fans now!

Coxylaad and phatvr6 did a 3.2 4wd and biggerbigben (I think that's right username) did a 1.8t 4wd. There are others but can't remember their username. Coxy sold his to username 87 jetta or similar and phatvr6 uses clubgti mostly but has sold his as well.

Sounds like a changeover model, early interior, late exterior. Window switches cut in door panel not on speaker pod? Hatched pattern light switch? External door handle lock sits slightly proud not flush? 3 slat grill?
-
Wow is that how much they are going for? I've got a set if anyone else is after some!
-
Yea in my build thread, it's only temporary until i can drive it to an exhaust place to get one properly made up. I used top halves of the mk5 style manifold, had some flanges to match made up and welded to vr6 downpipe
-
Quick video of mine, bit of a weird sound after a rev it, must have been some thing behind the car and fuel pump isn't actually as loud as it sounds! This is a home brew manifold, sports cat with full miltek system. http://vid6.photobucket.com/albums/y212/swiftkid/20141004_152252_001.5_zpsxvutryxq.mp4

When I had mine resprayed I got my car insured with windscreen cover then rang up and said I needed a windscreen. Told the guy the windscreen was already out and I just paid the excess, no problem and he actually fitted a genuine one
-
*******! Stupid bloody system
-
Was worth a shot, so how does this new fangled panjo thing work? Or do you just want to send me PayPal address?

£15 posted? Worth a shot...
